Description of objectIn Cala Gonone, just 30 meters from the seafront and the town beaches.The central location, and the short distance from the marina, the embarkation point to the beaches of the Gulf of Orosei, the park of \"La Favorita\", the Cine Teatro Arena, the \"Walk\" and the most important business, it does the ideal place for your vacation in this corner of paradise. The house is fully furnished and has TV with decoder, fan, gas oven, microwave and washing machine. You can park in the street or in nearby bars and parking are all free, no charge. Exit at Km 69.300 (exit-Lula Dorgali) of its central link road (SS 131 DCN), and continue for 20 km towards Dorgali until you reach State Road 125. Cala Gonone, Dorgali maritime village just 7 km. By bus: The Regional Agency ARST operates on the routes to and from Cala Gonone and Dorgali. The beauty of the marine landscape is combined with the mountainous landscape of Supramonte rising sea a few kilometers from the coast. Cala Gonone is the privileged custodian of one of the most beautiful and attractive coastlines in the Mediterranean, almost certainly the longest without human settlements (perhaps because only accessible by sea), thus preserving its virginal integrity. The main bathing area is immersed in the green of ilexes and rosemary bushes and is equipped with modern hotel facilities, restaurants and a tourist harbour. Every part of the resort can be easily reached on comfortable motorboats: Cala Luna, Biriola, Mariolu, all bays with golden sand and transparent water. Aquarium: A special mention to the Aquarium of Cala Gonone, who was inaugurated on July 10th, 2010. It has got 25 water display tanks and will allow you to explore the sea bottom of the Mediterranean Sea and of the tropical seas as well. The caves: The Supramonte, which is famous for its aboundance of subterranean water lodes, is rich in mountain caves and sea grottoes. In the Gulf of Orosei, you can visit the famous “Grotta del Bue Marino” – the Sea Ox Cave – and the “Grotta del Fico” – the Fig Tree’s Cave -, which hides a tangle of tunnels and is a real paradise for expert cave explorers. In the interior, you shouldn’t miss to visit the “Grotta di Ispinigoli” with its magnificent 30 metres high stalagtitic-stalagmitic column as well as the caves “Sa Oche” (The Voice) and “Su Bentu” (The Wind) with their incredible karstic system and their subterranean lakes. Things to see over the sea: Archaelogical sites: In Sardinia there are hundreds of burial grounds from the Neolithic period , “dolmens” which recall northern European civilisation, imposing Giants’ Tombs, highly conspicuous nuraghi and a myriad of nuragic villages. A treasure trove still shrouded in mystery a real delight for archaeologists and fans of prehistory. The area of Cala Gonone is a rich deposit of primitive relics: Nuragic Village Tiscali, Nuragic Village Serra e Orrios, giants Tombs, Domus De Janas. Dorgali is only a few kilometres away from the sea behind a towering range of mountains. Its for those visitors who are looking about tradition, folklore, good cooking, archaeology and antiquity. An important village centre and craft area, it welcomes the visitor with the hearty bustle of an Eastern market, its shops and boutiques proudly displaying their ancient craft products: Terracottas, leather goods, carpets, embroidered shawls from the local costume adorned with splendid filigree jewels, gold objects faithfully worked according to ancient canons. Cuisine and wine culture: Viniola:the beginnings of one of the best Cannonau wines. For about 3,500 years, Dorgali has been an area abounding with autochthonous vineyards. The Romans called it Vinìola and therefore it isn’t surprising that one of Sardinia’s best Cannonau wines is produced here, still today. About the cuisine,Traditional dishes: Malloreddus: Sardinian gnochetti, made of fine-grain wheat flour, water and salt. Anzelottos: Classic ravioli filled with cheese and spinach-beet. Macarrones de Punzu: Hand-made gnocchi made of dough of wheat or potato flour; they get their characteristic form by passing the pasta on the back of a grater. Macarrones de Busa: Hand-made pasta similar to bucatini, prepared by inserting a large needle into the dough. Porcetto arrosto: Roast pigling, browned slowly over aromatic, red-hot embers. Pane Frattau: A dish obtained by dunking traditional carasau bread in boiling water for a brief moment, then layering it carefully on a dish and dressing it with freshly cooked tomato sauce, pecorino cheese and – if possible - poached egg. Tattaliu: Heart, liver and lungs of pork or sheep, separated by slices of back bacon and spit on a short skewer which is obvolved by the guts of the animal and then roasted until it becomes delicious and crisp. Cordedda: The dish consists of coiled guts stewed with peas. Pistiddu: Pastry prepared for the feast of Saint Anthony of Egypt on 17th January. A kind of jam tart filled with cooked wine. Bistoccu d’ou: More commonly known as Savoy biscuits, soft and made with eggs. Amaretti biscuits: Almond pastry, sweetened with sugar and egg whites. Papassinos: Diamond-shaped biscuits made of short pastry, nuts and raisins.
