Description of objectLower Leys, also known formerly as Foxtwitchen, is a self-catering holiday home in the centre of Exmoor. Ideal for a small group or family. Well-behaved dogs are also more than welcome.The kitchen is Lower Leys is fully equipped with a fridge, chest freezer, electric oven and hob, dishwasher and a washer/dryer for clothes. The pine dining table sits in the centre of the kitchen. Lower Leys living room has two three-seater sofas, and the room itself has a beautiful wood floor. There’s also a TV with DVD player to keep everyone entertained. The master bedroom is a perfect room for enjoying a great night’s sleep. The king size bed sits in the centre, and can be split into two separate beds on request. The master bedroom also has an en-suite bathroom. Equipped with a modern power shower, toilet and hand wash basin with mirror. The second bedroom is a large sized twin room, which again, with the advantage of zip and link beds can be turned into a double bed on request. The room itself is nice and bright thanks to the large sash window the overlooks the cottage’s front garden. There room itself is also feels modern and updated, with contemporary artwork adorning the walls. The Garden is located around the front of the cottage and is enclosed, making it ideal for dogs and children to play outdoor games while you can have peace of mind. The wooden table is ideal for alfresco meals on a warm day, there’s even a BBQ for those particularly gorgeous evenings. Location of objectAccessed via a shared country track Leys Cottages are surrounded by open fields that are home to horses and sheep. The views of pretty woodland and open moorland are truly spectacular, and Leys Cottages enjoy almost complete peace and tranquillity, with only the occasional contented animal or bird song to break the silence.Within an easy drive of the cottages are several excellent pubs and restaurants, including the Royal Oak at Withypool, which is just down the road. There are also wonderful sites to be explored within the area such as Tarr Steps, one of the country\'s oldest bridges, Dunster Castle and The River Barle. Town: Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Somerset, WithypoolRight at the heart of Exmoor along the banks of the River Barle nestles the lovely, unspoilt village of Withypool. Whether you want to go walking about the moors or sailing, Withypool certainly has a majestic environment making it a most relaxing place in which to stay. The Royal Oak is a family friendly pub with a fine menu while along the banks of the river a traditional tea rooms and village shop make a great place to conclude a walk along the river to Tarr Steps.Despite being in the centre of the countryside, Withypool is surrounded by coastal areas only a short drive away. Take a boat trip from Lynmouth to Ilfracombe and experience the striking coastline and cliff formations for yourself. One of the best ways to explore this amazing countryside is Devon’s very own safari. Spot the wildlife of the moors from a Land Rover and fly over rolling hills and through valleys, all the while witnessing the extraordinary wildlife that Exmoor holds. Or instead plan a trip to the Exmoor Zoo and get to know all the animals from the tiniest monkey to the largest wild cat. Exmoor is perhaps best known for its giant Exmoor Beast. Visit one in the zoo and see for yourself what all the fuss is about. Withypool is so quaint and beautiful that it’s difficult not to fall for it in a heartbeat.
