Description of objectLa Viralda is a beautiful residence located in the heart of the \"Parco del Ticino\", very close to Lake Maggiore. Ideally situated within 15 minutes from Milan Malpensa Airport and less than 10 minutes from Arona, La Viralda\'s top floor apartment (\"Alda\") sleeps 6 adults + small children through two large double bedrooms and a sofa bed.The apartment includes 2 bedrooms, living room, dining room, newly renovated kitchen and 1 bathroom. 3 balconies provide beautful views of the sorrounding hill, and a large garden allows for plenty of space for the kids, barbecues and relaxing activities. A horse riding facility is right next door, while tennis courts and children play area are less then 1 mile away. A short 10 min drive will take you to Arona, one of the most beautiful towns on the very tip of Lake Maggiore, with numerous public beaches. Location of objectThe house is located in one of the most beautiful areas in North West Italy, not only for the famous Lago Maggiore but also for the smaller Lago d\'Orta, a jewel with its charming town of Orta, and for the hills of the Novara province well known for their special wines like Ghemme and Gattinara (and many others).We all love Italian food. But few of us have an opportunity to enjoy the real hidden gems, food and wines, that hardly make the headlines because of very limited production. This area of Northern Italy is a goldmine for wines, cheese and hundreds of products that you can easily rank among the most sophisticated in the world. If you like trekking or walking in the mountains, several valleys are not far away including Val Grande, Val Antigorio, Val Bognanco, Valsesia and Val Formazza, also home to a great Wells & Spa facility. If you don\'t mind driving a bit further, skiing in the Alps all year round is also possible with a 2.5 hour trip to Valle d\'Aosta. The city of Milan is only 50 Km away. Shopping in Milan is great, and sightseeing even better. But if you get tired of the Duomo, La Scala, La Galleria, Leonardo Da Vinci\'s Last Supper and the fashion district remember that, from Milan, Venice is only 3 hours away by train, and in 2 hours you can be on the seaside beaches in Genova. Town: Italy, Lake Maggiore, Varallo Pombia (NO)The house is ideally located for a swim in the lake or to enjoy its bustling night life, eat in the best restaurants and enjoy the local products.Boats from Arona can take you to every corner of the lake, and to the Isole Borromee and up into Switzerland. A visit to the gardens of Isola Madre or Villa Taranto are a must if you are a flower enthusiast, as well as the ones in Villa Pallavicino, where kids can also meet animals of different types. A cable car from Stresa will take you to Mottarone, a close mountain where you can ski in the winter and enjoy the 7 lake view during fantastic summer walks. For golfers, just a few miles from the house there is the Castelconturbia club (10 min drive), the Golf Bogogno club (15 min drive), the Arona Golf Club (5 min. drive) and the Golf Des Iles Borromées club (30 min drive). Various swimming pools are available in the area, but for a smashing water experience Ondaland is your park (approx. 30 min drive). Kids and adults can also visit the Safari Park (5/10 min drive from the house), home to lions, snakes and other wild animals. If history of flight is your passion, visit Volandia at Malpensa airport (15 min drive from the house) and try the experience of a real flight simulator. On the other side of the lake, the Angera Castle and the hermitage of Santa Caterina del Sasso are only a boat trip away, though you can reach them driving only 15 minutes from the house. If shopping in the lake towns or in the Milan fashion center is not enough, numerous outlets with great prices and the best brands are in the area. Vicolungo is the closest one, at 30/40 min by car. But you can also shop in one of the top Switzerland outlets, FoxTown, in Mendrisio, only 45 min from Milan and with daily tours from Milan available.
