Description of objectVila Joaninha is located at Santo da Serra village, a plateau over the towns of Machico and Santa Cruz. Due to its location, Santo da Serra is the ideal place for nature lovers, golfers and walkers.The house is composed of the : Ground-floor with 3 bedrooms (2 twins + 1 double), dinning/sitting room with fireplace, satelite TV and radio, individual electric heaters in every bedrooms; pantry; fully equipped kitchen; complete bathroom, including bathtube and bidet; cot available (free of charge); porch with furniture; First-floor with a library, sitting-room, sun terrace with sun beds and parasols. This Manor House, is furnished with taste and refinement, having been completely refurbished in 1999. It is integrated in a 7000 m2 propriety, including lawns, trees, barbecue, cosy corner with a table and benches, where meals can be enjoyed. Location of objectThe Santo da Serra parish is located on a plateau over the towns of Machico and Santa Cruz, at an altitude of 675 metres above sea level.“Santo António da Serra” owes its name to the devotion of the parish to Saint Anthony, being more commonly known as “Santo da Serra'. This parish has long been one of Madeira’s most sought after holiday destinations, and is the ideal place for golfers and nature lovers. Also, you should not miss the opportunity to taste the typical cider of this location (an alcoholic drink made with apple juice). PLACES OF INTEREST: -Santo da Serra Golf Course - Madeira’s first 27-hole golf course. -Quinta da Junta - This manor house was built in the late 19th century and was for many years property of the Blandy family. Today, it belongs to the Regional Government. In this “Quinta”, which is opened to the public, there is an extensive park with beautiful gardens, a mini-zoo, playground and tennis court.
