Description of objectSet amidst the vineyards and a few minutes walk from the River Douro and Quinta De La Rosa, Quinta Amarela is a quiet and peaceful place, perfect for a restful holiday.Quinta Amarela is located in the upper Douro Valley region, one of the most unspoilt areas in Portugal, classified by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. The house is part of a 135 acres vineyard property, Quinta de La Rosa, owned by a family that has been shipping Port Wine since 1815. On the main part of the house there are two twin bedrooms and one double bedroom, all having en-suite bathrooms/shower rooms. There is a large sitting room and a dining room with a door leading to the kitchen full equipped. Next to the house there is an annex with one double bedroom and one twin bedroom, both with en-suite bathrooms/shower rooms. Quinta Amarela has an interior courtyard with a shaded patio, a barbecue and a private swimming pool measuring 8 by 4 metres. From the house there are some magnificent views and during the warmer months, vine covered patios provide a pleasant shade. A few minutes walking from the main house, it is possible join us for the tour and wine tastings or have a meal, upon on previous request, on our terrace overlooking the river. Sleeps 10 persons, self catering. Change Over date Friday. Location of objectFROM PORTO - CAROn leaving Oporto Airport take A.41 signed for Braga . Contine until Exit 6 signed Vila Real. Turn off here being careful not to take Exit to Braga. Join A.3 Leave A.3 at Exit 3 signed Vila Real Join A.4 and continue on this road until after Amarante when the motorway stops and the road number is IP4 This takes you over the mountains to Vila Real. Do NOT exit at Vila Real but continue to A.24 signed off to the right for Viseu. Exit at 25A signed to Regua. Down the hill, over the bridge and round 2 roundabouts second of which is marked to Pinhao and then follow the river going under the high bridge and passed the dam until you reach Pinhao. Cross the river, drive through Pinhao bearing left at the end of the village, over small bridge and immediately sharp left . Over level crossing and La Rosa is on left. To go to Quinta Amarela, take the turning after the one marked Tourism and go throught the La Rosa gates. The drive is quite steep, so go slowly. After the T junction at the bottom turn right to Amarela. Town: Portugal, Douro, PinhãoAmarela House is located 2 kms from Pinhão on the banks of the River Douro.Pinhão is the centre of the surrounding port district and has a supermarket, butcher, baker, greengrocer, chemist, bank, etc. There are a number of restaurants, bars and cafes but apart from \\\'festas\\\' there is no night life. More extensive shopping is available in Vila Real, Régua e Alijó.
