Kilcrohane is a small seaside village with a primary school, church, shop&post office, 2 bars, 3 B&Bs and 3 eating places. There is a children's playground, sport's field and community hall. The Kilcrohane pier is the most popular place to swim but there are several small coves dotted along the coast that are safe and private.
Bantry is a vibrant market town offering a wide assortment of shops, bars, cafes, restaurants and hotels. It also has a cinema, 2 leisure centres and an 18 hole golf course, There is public transport to Bantry three times per week from Kilcrohane.
