Description of objectOur house is a typical house called a corte, recently restored, situated in the historical centre of a small town called Calimera near Lecce in the south of Italy. It is in the heart of Salento (Apulia region) heel of Italy. Calimera is one of the 11 villages which are part of the Grecìa Salentina where old people are still speaking a mixture of a sort of greek griko language and Italian dialect.The house has got a typical vaulted-ceiling structure and the rooms are arranged in a row. We have a sleeping loft and the sitting room with a sofa bed under it. There are also two bathrooms. In the first room (at the entrance) there is a bunk-bed. We have a backyard with a table and chairs. Location of objectThe nearest airports are Brindisi (35 km. where you can also sail to Greece) or Bari (200 km).Town: Italy, Puglia- Salento, CalimeraThe house is in a very quite area,in the historical centre of Calimera near Lecce in the south of Italy. Our town is just in the middle of a touristic area where you can taste the typical southern- Italy spirit, where true sentiments are still alive and people are really friendly.15 km. away from Calimera there is a refined town of art, Lecce, also called Florence of the south for its famous artistic \'barocco leccese\' style and Otranto, a marvellous typical town with its harbour.Very near to the Adriatic coast, 15 km., you can choose from two seas:the Ionian or the Adriatic and you can relax in the beautiful beaches of Otranto or Gallipoli, you can also do scuba-diving or go to the nearest golf pitch (10 km.) However you can find a variety of lanscapes: rocks, beaches, wild coast. You will surely be attracted by the hundreds of traditional festivals taking place in summer in Salento such as \'La Notte della Taranta\' The nearest airports are Brindisi (35 km. where you can also sail to Greece) or Bari (200 km).
