Description of objectThe wooden cottage is situated down to the Carpates mountains of Fagaras in a 2300m² (2750yd²) flowered garden, with a lot of fruit trees and swimming pool in the center.The house has a total area of approx. 120 m² ( 13yd²) with an accommodation capacity of up to 7 people in 3 double bed bedrooms + one single bed in a niche of the corridor, behind a curtain. The 75 m² (8 yd²) living room has the wooden roof structure visible and a great view on the mountains, through six large glazed doors. It is endowed with a fireplace. The table can be extended up to 12 persons. Amongst the seats in the living room one can be employed as a couch for two persons. (Bed linen on request) The table can be extended up to 12 persons. The kitchen corner is fully equipped. An office at the entrance and the bathroom are also on the ground floor beside two double-bed bedrooms. The bedrooms are fully equipped and towels are included. At the first floor an open corridor (duplex) joins a bedroom (bunk bed)to the niche with a single bed. There is also space for at least two camping beds. Three terraces are surrounding the house. Two of them covered, one also with a fireplace. You’ll find outside furniture in abundance. Location of objectAvrig is a small town at 30 km (18 miles) from Sibiu (international airport).The city of Sibiu (Hermannstadt) has a quite interesting history. For centuries it has been the capital of “Siebenbürgen” (“The seven Fortresses”, also known as Ardeal or Transylvania). History of all this country has mainly been written by colonists from Flanders and Germany up from the 12 century. Also periods of Hungarian, Ottomanian and Austrian dominance let very clearly her marks all over the land, as well in buildings and landscape as in culture and even speech. At this very moment, Sibiu shows all the poetic characteristics of a German city from a long and rich era (with a long and rich past). Easy to understand why Sibiu has been “European Capital of Culture” in 2007. The old city of Sibiu was ranked by Forbes magazine as 'Europe's 8th most idyllic place to live'. In this part of Transylvania you can visit the extraordinary “Burgkirchen”, 15th and 16th Century fortified churches, some in the UNESCO World Heritage. In the shadow of one of them, at Viscri, Prince Charles possesses a renewed farm from old time. Also not further away, at 120 km (75 miles) you can visit the Dracula Castle at Bran, the city of Brasov, the Royal Castle of Peles, and the marvelous town of Sighisoara, also a UNESCO protected site. All these are situated in a splendid natural decor. 'Exploraţi grădina Carpaţilor' (Explore the Carpates garden) is the touristic brand of Romania. Town: Romania, Valea Avrigului, AvrigThe chalet is situated halfway between the small town of Avrig and the starting point for the Fagaras Mountains climbing routes, on a 14 km (9 miles) small asphalt road.The height of the mountains is up to 2500 m. (8200 feet). There are several Alpine huts. At about 200m (700 feet) from our house flows the “Avrig” mountain river. You can dabble in the river, and fishing is allowed, with a fishing permit. You can also enjoy other mountain sports in the area: horse riding, mountain biking, hiking.At 7km there is a new "Aqua Club" In the town of Avrig, 10 minutes away you can find neighbourhood shops.(Liddl) Further away, at 30 km (18 miles) there is a large center of the European chains with general stores. Nearby there are some small restaurants. Bigger ones are at 10 km.
