We enjoyed three glorious weeks in Sri Lanka and having spent our first four days at Sandul Villa, we loved it so much, we returned for the final two days of our holiday. On our return arrival, the whole team welcomed us and it was like coming home! The owner, Senaka, is a wonderful, honourable man who takes huge pride in the villa and garden. His team are warm, professional and very attentive.
The meals that Taranga prepared were deliciously fresh and of the quality you find in top restaurants. They were beautifully presented and served by Sarath. Breakfast was a daily feast with fresh fruit juice, eggs of your choice, plenty of toast and fresh fruit, washed down with fresh Tea and Coffee. Taranga drove us to the beach, pool, local shops and ATM on request, any time of day. He also took us to the local Buddhist Temple on Poya (Full Moon) Day, which was wonderful. The local beach is beautiful with a clean and safe lagoon for swimming and snorkelling. There are several beach cafes, but once you taste Taranga’s cooking, you won’t want to eat anywhere else! Our bedrooms and bathrooms were spotless and cleaned every day by Nandana, with the daily fresh flowers a lovely touch. Internet and Satellite TV are freely available, as is drinking water.
Senaka kindly drove us to a Turtle Hatchery and to see a Beach Football competition during our evenings, both are which were great for our two boys, aged 13 and 10.
The team provided total “100% satisfaction” throughout our time at Sandul Villa. We arrived strangers and left friends. Sandul Villa comes with the highest possible recommendation.
