We were really impressed by this self catering apartment. We have been fans of Lazio with its beautiful lakes, Rome (of course!) and Etruscan sites for some years staying in a number of self catering short rents this is by far the best! It was really good value, clean, peaceful.
1. absolutely no mosquitoes! This is a big bonus no need for our mosquito net or to apply any nasty products in order to sit outside, lovely fresh balmy breezes surrounded by hazelnut trees- wonderfully relaxing
2. a great base only 15 mins drive to the wonderful Lago di Vico and 50 mins to central Rome
3. apartment was a really good size with everything we needed including outdoor barbie area, garden- it was fine to stay in and read/ relax/ cook at home when weather was not so great..
4. landlady spoke great English, very friendly and helpful without being \'in your face\'. Cinthia was really relaxed and friendly dropped around some of her own organic veg (delicious) and some home cooking (great) and was available if we needed any advice
5. Good security- accessed up a lane and behind a serious metal gate with good locks on the doors/ Cleaning service very good/ well organised interior
6. Fabrica and surrounding towns all have something to offer a great base with easy access to a whole range of Etruscan sites. Also a great base if you like to relax by a lake, swim, sail. We enjoyed cooking using locally grown vegetables and using handfuls of the fresh herbs in the garden
7. on arrival our easyjet flight was very delayed and we turned up around 12.30 at night following several phone calls to ask for directions (forgot to print them) Cinthia was completely relaxed about this
8. its actually nicer than it looks in the photos!
We are definitely planning to stay here again and thinking about friends and family staying as well- there are 3 apartments. Very highly recommended!
