Casa Elisa is a Tuscan holiday home on the outskirts of Lucca, in a small county village(Porcari).The recently restored house is the perfect spot for those wishing to spend their holidays amongst enchanting countryside whilst still being able to enjoy the benefits of all the latest mod.cons.

Casa Elisa is located in Porcari, a small village in the center of Lucca valley. The place is perfect to easly reach most important Tuscany Towns

Lucca is a small tuscany city with a rich history, a city that has magically preserved itself.
It was a Roman colony in 180 B.C.
During the 6C Lucca became the capital of the Lombardic duchy of Tuscia. Later, in the 12C it went on to become firstly, a free commune and subsequently a republic.
The city remained an independent republic up until 1799.
On 1805, it was established and entrusted into the care of Elisa Bonaparte (the sister of Napoleon).
During the Congress of Vienna, it was decided that Lucca should become a duchy. On the 10th of May 1815, Maria Louise of Bourbon became the ruler of the city. She was succeeded by her son, Charles Ludwig of Bourbon (1824 â 1847). In 1847 Lucca became part of the Grand Duchy of Tuscany.
Today, it is one of the few places which has retained its city walls (15C â 17C) which measure about 4.450km in length. The ancient city centre is well preserved and has numerous medieval churches, bell towers and Renaissance buildings.
As with other Tuscan towns, Lucca contains many interesting buildings and works of art, such as an unroofed museum, which has been modified and developed over the centuries. The ancient city centre offers visitors numerous possibilities for enjoyment and relaxation. Is LuccaThe Roman city, the Medieval city, the Renaissance city, the nineteenth century city: traces of all of these centuries may still be found in its urban fabric. A walk through the centre of Lucca becomes an exciting voyage through times.

Apart from the significant monuments, such as the sixteenth-seventeenth century Walls, Lucca stands out in its integrity and its atmosphere as a lively and vital city. You just need to look down from one of its towers, or to wander through the narrow Medieval streets, to be fascinated by the white marble of its superb Romanesque churches, the orange-red or the thirteenth-fourteenth century buildings, the grey of the paving stones, the green of the vegetation peeping out all over
