Location of objectThe villa rises in the park of Costa di Carro, a nature reserve close to the sea, which is located between Cava D’Aliga (1,5 Km) and Sampieri (2 Km). Surrounded by a lush vegetation (“Mediterranean maquis”) of agaves and small palms, the house overlooks a suggestive bathing cliff sloping towards the sea.The coast of Costa di Carro, which is 4 Km long, is a succession of small inlets and caves. One of the most famous is called “Covo dei Contrabbandieri”: since it is well hidden, this indentation was a place of smuggled goods during the postwar period. The villa is 2 Km from the wide sandy beaches of Sampieri, a lovely seaside hamlet that comes alive with nightlife during the summer, and about 20 Km from Marina di Ragusa, in a strategic position to visit the touristic places of Val di Noto. This coastline, rich in panoramic glimpses and suggestive settings, has repeatedly been chosen as set of the television series “Inspector Montalbano”. The beach of Costa di Carro is a small half moon-shaped inlet of golden sand, which is located a few kilometres from Sampieri. It rises along a coastline which is about 4 Km long, inside of the Park Costa di Carro. Instituted in 2002, this park consists of a naturalistic oasis rich in small palm trees and agaves. It is ideal for hiking lovers and for those who like high and indented cliffs. It is characterized by unique clefts such as the “Grotta dei Colombi” (“Pigeons Cave”) and the suggestive “Spaccazza”: an inlet in the cliff through which it is possible to reach a rocky shore bathed by waters ideal for snorkelling. Another famous cave is known as “Covo dei Contrabbandieri” (“Smugglers’ Lair”): since it is well hidden, this indentation was a place of smuggled goods during the postwar period. At the top of a cliff of about 5 meters high, dominates the landscape or the Furnace Pen Pisciotto, hence the name of the beach, interesting ruins of industrial architecture from the early '900. In the past thriving mill in which bricks were produced for export, the Forge is now very popular as a tourist location of some episodes of the series Il Commissario Montalbano Televisa. The whole waterfront area is considered suitable for the deposition of eggs of sea turtle and is characterized by the presence of sand dunes. Legambiente and the Italian Touring Club are considered among the best beaches in Italy and placed in the 'Blue Guide 2014'. Town: Italy, Sampieri, SampieriSampieri, a small maritime village of Scicli, consists of a pretty village of stone houses and cobbled streets situated on a spur of limestone between two beaches of fine golden sand. Renowned wide and panoramic waterfront during the summer season is characterized by a lively nightlife, thanks to the presence of numerous hotels and resorts in the area. The beach, majestic views, is sheltered by trees and a cane. Sampieri opened the season with the 'Tomato Festival', May 1, an event that offers to sea lovers a unique opportunity to meet with the beauty, culinary and otherwise, of that territory. Legambiente and the Italian Touring Club are considered among the best beaches in Italy and placed in the 'Blue Guide 2011'.Link to our websitehttp://www.accommodation-sicily.com/villas/beach-villas/barbara-92Arrival and distancesArrival day: negotiableDistance to next airport: Pio La Torre, Comiso 50 Km Distance to next trainstation: Ragusa 40 Km Distance to next motorway: A18 Rosolini 60 Km Distance to the sea: Sampieri 2 Km Distance to next shop: 2 Km Sport facilities nearbyCanoeing, Cycling, Diving, Fishing, Horse riding, Mountainbiking, Sailing, Swimming, Water ski,Theme of holidays
