Description of objectVilla Ane is an original typical Istrian two storey villa. It spreads on 250 m2 and was built in 1911 but completely refurbished in 2012 and 2013. The house is suitable for up to 6 people who above all cherish privacy and peace and those who like rustic ambiance. The facility is completely built of stone with walls that are more than 70 cm thick. It is a true architectural work of art and it offers pleasant staying during hot summer months. For the refurbishment we used only original materials such as stone, wood and hammered iron. The upper floor consists of a master room (with 30 m2) with a terrace, two smaller stylishly furnished bedrooms and WC. On the ground floor there is a completely furnished kitchen with a dining room, a living room with a fireplace and a bathroom. The front of the house boasts with a spacious terrace with a stone table and vine of Istrian Malvazija that gives thick shade.Villa Ane is surrounded with over 7000 m2 of front and backyard that include stables, another spacious terrace covered with 100-year old beams, a large stone barbecue, outdoor solar shower, outdoor WC, large grassy front yard with an XXL trampoline and a covered parking space. The exterior consists of typical Mediterranean plants, olive trees, lavender and orchards. The property is entirely fenced with stone walls so it offers complete privacy to our guests that search for peaceful holidays. We offer our guests transport by air-conditioned maxi van from Pula airport located 25 km from Rakalj at a promotional price of 50 euros for 6 persons (approximately 6,5 euros per person Pula-Rakalj). We can also arrange rent-a-car service, boat trips to the Brijuni National Park, Venice or other trip of your choice. Property owners Melanie and Toni Percan speak English, German and Italian and will kindly help with anything you might need. It should also be noted that the owners do not live on the property in order to ensure their guests total privacy but are at your disposal 24 hour a day via cell phone. On request we can prepare typical Istrian dishes based on fish, mussels or meat. If you want to bring a smaller boat or a Jet ski, we can offer a year round keeping at our fenced and protected property or at our property situated on the sea side that has the possibility of berths at a small port. Free private parking + private driveway (reservation is not needed). Safe Town: Croatia, Istra, RakaljRakalj is surrounded by forests, plantations of olive trees and vineyards. It offers endless possibilities for walking, cycling, diving, fishing and other outdoor activities. IstrienIn Rakalj there is an outpatient clinic, store and restaurant at approximately 400 meters from Villa Ane. At the coast there is another restaurant with the view on the bay, offering various fish dishes on menu. The old town of Rakalj is the closest to the see but today it is mainly uninhabited. In that part there are ruins of the old castle and the church of St. Agnes to be found. The church is situated on the top of the hill offering magnificent view at the see. There are no regular Sunday Masses in the church accept on several traditional occasion a year. There are also wedding ceremonies in the St Agnes church. Couples come from nearby smaller towns as well as from bigger cities. At the site where the old middle age castle used to be the remains of the prehistoric hill-fort are found as well as remains of Roman fort. The castle itself was probably built at the beginning of the 11th century and was later known as Castellare de Rachir. In 1535 the Istrien VillaVenetians granted the Old Rakalj and the New Rakalj to the Loredan family but the castle was in such a bad condition that Loredans abandoned it and moved to today Rakalj. For more extensive shopping there is – a town with more than 3000 years history, with the most preserved amphitheater in Europe and many other monuments from the ancient Rome period.
