Location of objectNea Kallikratia beach: Nea Kallikratia is a big tourist place with a few good beaches, of which Vargia is the most popular and awarded a blue flag. It seems that golden sand in Nea Kallikratia is endless. Its beaches are crammed with holiday-goers and tourists, but there are also places which are less crowded and easily accessible. The longest sand stretch is Geoponika – Mikoniatika which is also awarded a blue flag. Town beach, 800 m long, is in the central part of Nea Kallikratia, close to the main square. It is perfect for young people and families with children, as its waters are shallow and crystal clear. Beaches are well maintained and organized, with parasols and sun beds, and they are usually used free of charge if you take drink in a café they belong to. There are also “free zones” where you can bring your own parasols and towels. Apart from sun-bathing and swimming, the town beach offers sand sports such as volleyball and football.
