The Casa El Laurel is a traditional Canary Islands villa, built in 1850 and recently restaured. The spacious house has a 100 meter terraza with an exterior jacuzzi, a solarium and garden with autoctonus plants.
The house is big and cozy and it is located in a rural area, away from the tourist centers. An excellent place for relaxing and hiking.
Location of object
The house is located inside Parque Rural the Doramas and only two kilometres away from the Reserve Natural Los Tilos de Moya wit its evergreen forest. It is a mainly rural area, very closed to the Cumbres (highest mountains of Gran Canaria) so it is a good point to start to explore the island and a good based to hike the mountains. It is also relatively close to the Nort Coast (fifteen minutes) where you can find small beaches, natural see pools and plenty of little fish restaurants in the small fishing villages. All away from the traditional touristic areas of Gran Canaria.
Town: Spain, Moya, Moya
Moya is a little village on the North of the island. It has always kept a low key image so it is not well known by tourists what make it more charming. It has a couple of good restaurants and several bars where you can eat for very little delicious Canary Islands food. It has a Museum, a church and some other cultural atractions and in the downtown there are often cultural events. The town has been a little isolated due to its ravines and location so you can find a lot of paths and natural areas where to walk ot to take photographs. Because the villa has a vertical shape it is also in touch with the ocean and only fifteen kilometres away frm the house you can swimm in the ocean and eat fresh local fish.
