Castel Gandolfo lies to the SE of Rome, along the Appia Nuova, in the Castelli Romani ('Castles of Rome') Park. Perched on the lip of the Lake Albano crater, the town is only 20 km from the center of Rome (appr. 30 minute drive) and yet it feels like a small hill-town nestled in the hills of Tuscany or Umbria. The area is surrounded by a delicious natural context, and it is the summer residence of the Pope, surrounded by other famous castles (Frascati, Genzano, Ariccia ,...). Local activities include diving, swimming, tennis, walking, sailing, cycling, fishing, horse riding, golf, wind-surfing, water skiing, paragliding. This large apartment (105 mq) can comfortably accommodate 4/5/6/7 persons and is proposed fully-furnished (TV, wireless Internet, garden with private parking, washing-machine, dish-washer,...), and is the ideal place to basing a relaxing, sporting and cultural holiday, few km away from the eternal city and all of its historical reminders.
