Description of objectCasa Rosa, a beautiful two-bedroomed detached\'Villa in the Village\', nestled in the middle of Bugnara, near Sulmona, Abruzzo offers wonderful self catering holiday rental accommodation in Abruzzo, central Italy. This unique property, (which is all yours, not an apartment), offers you the best of both worlds, a detached villa with its own terraces, and cottage garden, yet in the middle of a medieval village with the benefit of amenities - all in the heart of Abruzzo, Italy. There\'s also a fantastic large \'sun trap\' roof terrace where you can relax with a glass (or two) of wine and admire the views of the surrounding village, woodland and mountains. Location of objectCasa Rosa is a beautiful detached, over 200 year old house, nestled in the middle of Bugnara, a medieval village in the heart of Abruzzo, Italy, in fact part of its garden walls are the original village walls. Casa Rosa is close to Sulmona and the Abruzzo National Park and is the perfect location for walking, trekking holidays and for winter skiiing, as Campo di Giove, Pratello and Roccaraso are all about 30 minutes drive away. There are numerous walks from the village, for sightseeing or just for a relaxing break away. The beaches of the Adriatic are under an hour away and the lakes at Scanno are only 20 minutes away, there is even a Water Park at Corfinio which is only 15 minutes down the road. There is also a fishing pool in the village.Casa Rosa is close to the centre of the village where you will find three bars, one of which serves food, a pizza restaurant, a hotel with restaurant, two grocery shops, Post Office, fruit shop, chemist along with four churches. The nearest supermarket is just five minutes drive away this side of Sulmona. The detached villa, (which is all yours, not an apartment) has been recently renovated to a high standard and has a newly fitted kitchen, shower room, two separate bedrooms (each with a balcony), a large open plan kitchen/dining room/lounge complete with Italian channel TV and DVD player. It also has mains gas central heating and an open fireplace. Town: Italy, Abruzzo, BugnaraBugnara is a medieval village with all the amenities. It has three bars, one of which serves food, a fishing pool with a pizza restaurant, a hotel also with a restaurant, shops, haidressers, post office, chemist and four churches. There is a regular bus service to the surrounding area, including Scanno and Sulmona. Bugnara is in the Club of \'The most beautiful villages of Italy\'In the summer Bugnara has many festivals, as well as organised events. In 2011 for example, there was a Circus in the street and an organised walk into the forest behind Bugnara which also included a picnic. 2012 Events listed here Just outside Bugnara is a Donkey Sanctuary where you can ride or walk in the forests with the donkeys and also has a restaurant with music in the summer months. The village is very well situated, being only a few minutes drive from the motorway and Sulmona, which is an ancient city full of history. There you will find facilities such as supermarkets, (which include Lidls, Conad, Eurospin and Co-Op) shopping centres, bars, restaurants, museums, a theatre, cinema, sports complexes and railway station, in addition to many fine buildings, churches and parks. From Sulmona regular buses and trains will take you straight into Rome, Pescara and other cities. The beach at Pescara is only a short walk from the train station. As well as the nearby beaches, Sulmona has an indoor and outdoor swimming pool and at Corfinio there is a waterpark. Sulmona has a huge lively market every Wednesday and Saturday where you can buy fresh local produce, clothing, toys etc and nearby Raiano has a large and vibrant market held every Sunday morning. Sulmona and the surrounding villages have a large calendar of events which include many festivals. Sulmona\'s Easter celebrations and the annual International Giostra competitions in July and August are of particular note with medieval pagentry parades.
