Self catering so you can use it as you would your own home, experiencing how Sri Lankans live in a former merchant village, close to all facilities Location of objectScotia Ceylon House located just outside Ahangama about 10 minutes from the coast road near a Buddhist temple.The villagers are very friendly and there a couple of small, local shops where you can buy provision like tea, sugar, etc. The visiting wildlife is amazing with monkeys, beautiful birds, lizards, and lovely flowers and trees. Live and eat local produce, experience the real Sri Lanka. Only around 20 minutes to Weligama is you like surfing, around 30 minutes to Marissa with it beautiful beaches and safe for swimming near the Point, about 40 mins to Galle Fort, a world heritage sight, also many shops. Town: Sri Lanka, Ahangama, AhangamaAhangama is a small town with a couple of supermarkets, fish and veg market, a quite a few shops for local produce. Just outside the town are a few restaurants, hotels where you can get a meal/drink etcThere is a bus and rail station in Ahangama. Buses are frequent to Galle, Weligama, Marissa, Matara etc, trains not as frequent. Plus many tuk tuks are available.
