Description of objectWelcome to the "Hotel Neos Matala" say the German couple Cornelia and Michael. 500 meters from one of the most beautiful beaches in Crete you will find our cozy 19 room hotel - surrounded by a lush and wonderful garden. The hotel is under German management and will amaze you from the very beginning connected by a distinguished service with Greek holiday feeling.
Enjoy an extended breakfast in the morning on our beautiful green terrace, of course the breakfast is included in the price.
After a relaxing day at the beach or an exciting excursion you can relax in our 100 square meters swimming pool and enjoy your holidays with snacks or a cool drink in our bar.The bar is of course available throughout the day.
End a wonderful holiday at the bar for a quiet drink. Besides wine, raki and the usual drinks you also get a cool wheat beer.
Our individual Cretan style rooms are all equipped with private bathroom, air conditioning, refrigerator, telephone, safe and balcony.

In the 60´s and 70´s years, the hippies found in the caves of Matala a place to "chill" and since that time, Matala became world famous. Bob Dylan and Cat Stevens sang about the magic of light and the unique, romantic sunsets in this lovely patch of earth. For the first time in 2011 the "Matala Festival" held that both the flower children of the early tourist time and today's guests moved to Matala. In future it is planned to carry out this festival.
Nowadays Matala is a fishing village, which offers amenities of a modern resort. Cozy taverns can be found right on the beach. From there, you'll gain a unique view of beautiful sunsets. Cafes and bars, stay open until the early morning and also offer a variety of entertainment for revelers. Similarly, you will find shops for daily needs during the holidays.
