Description of object'El molino de los abuelos' (the mill of the grandparents) is a beautifull old olive-mill on the main plaza of Comares.It has been renovated and stylished in the old, typical spanish tradition and is since 1998 in use as a 'casa rural'. It has 6 rooms and in the old olivefactory is a beuatiful restaurant situated. The patio is probably the most beautiful you can find in Andalucia: it is full of plants and flowers and has a stunning view over the countryside and the mediterranean sea. The six rooms are all different decorated and of different sizes and they are named after the grandchildren of the 'abuelos'. Room 'Monica' is the only appartment in 'El molino de los abuelos' and has it own kitchenette, bathroom with jacuzi and private terace with vieuws over the village and the landscape and the mediterranean sea. The prices varies between 41,20 - 110,21 euros per night per room, breakfast included. Location of objectAll the rooms can be rented for 1 night or longer. The prices are per night. By 7 nights there is a disscount for 1 night free.It is also possible to rent the whole 'El molino de los abuelos' - in that case there is a 10% discount. Also the restaurant can be hired for parties, weddings, birthdays etc. Special menus are available for this. Town: Spain, Axarquia, ComaresComares lies in the heart of the 'Axarquia'-region, east of Malaga. It is the highest village of the province of Malaga (740 metres above sealevel) and (one of) the most beautiful 'pueblo blanco' (white village) of Andalucia.It is the last village of the Moorish people that was conquered by the spanish-catholics in the 15th century. It is an hour drive from Málaga-airport and a 30 minute drive to the sea. You could say it is the best of both worlds: it has the silence and views of the mountains, it is close to the beach (costa del sol) and to the citylife (Málaga: 1 hour, Granada 1,5 hour). Comares isn't crowded by the tourists, it is a small village with some good walking tracks around the mountain which are also possible to do by mountain bikes or horses. The village itself has a track of ceramic footprints and plaques that lead you through the village and its history and shows you the old moorish history of Comares. It leads you by all the highlights of the village (like the church, the beautiful cementary, the remains of the castle) and also to the supermarket, banks, postoffice.
