The visitor who comes from Sulmona through the rugged gorges of Sagittarius, is suddenly high on the summit of Mount Argoneta, at 930 m. s.l.m.
Every night a bear with her children downs from the mountain and walks through the village. Is not dangerous: all love it!!!
The houses, lined up at the cliffs and crags amaze the visitor.
At the bottom of the river Sagittarius, thick poplar and pleasant valley where the land lies, and where lie its lakes.
Lake San Domenico, with clear waters and green, a favorite of trout fishermen. Lake Scanno, first for size and beauty, is located mostly in the territory of Villalago. Lake Pio, a natural oasis of aquatic birds and a destination for children and those who love nature.

You can find a very big fireplace.
The heating system is very efficient. the ski slopes are close fews kms. for 1 km is the lake di Scanno where you can swim, go horseback riding, canoeing, rent bicycles and many activities. It's a place to relax yourself and discover te beauty of nature.
