Description of object

Casale Orioles is a recently built holiday home. The apartment is equipped with all necessary amenities to ensure a pleasant and relaxing holiday. The apartment has a living room with sofa bed, TV and kitchen (gas cooker, oven, fridge and kitchenware), a bathroom with shower and a comfortable bedroom furnished with a double bed and wardrobe (on request it is possible to add an extra single bed or a cot). The apartment is equipped with air conditioning, heating, internet wifi (only available from June to September) and is complete with linens, towels and hairdryer as well as a small kit for personal hygiene. In the apartment are also available a road map of Sicily and tour guides in various languages. The outside consists of a large furnished veranda and a large green space for guests with barbecue, a corner with washing machine and a large car parking.

Location of object

The holiday home is located in the town of Torretta, 20km from Palermo, immersed in the quiet of a typical Sicilian countryside. It is in an ideal location as it is only 4km from the junction of the highway A29 which connects to the Punta Raisi Airport, 4km from the shopping center Poseidon (Carini) and just 5km from the beautiful beaches of Capaci and Isola delle Femmine.

Torretta is a small town of Palermo, near the Mount Canalicchi, 313 meters above the sea level, easily accessible by a network of roads connecting the village with Palermo, Capaci, Carini and Montelepre. Founded in 1599, Torretta was first a barony and then a fief, belonging to the noblest families of Sicily as Grifeo, Traina, and finally, for four centuries, Tomasi di Lampedusa (from which descended Giuseppe Tomasi di Lampedusa, author of the famous Italian novel “Il Gattopardo”), who here owned one of their summer residences. More interesting is the artistic heritage of the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Grace of the 17th century.
