Description of objectSkahard Country Villa is a 5 star luxury Self-Catering holiday home in the Golden Vale of County Limerick, Ireland.
The house itself is a 200 year old Georgian farmhouse, renovated to reflect a way of life in Ireland of old. It is set in the quiet, pastoral backdrop of Limerick, which is an ancient city originally founded by the Vikings.
Geographically, the house is perfectly positioned to experience an impressive amount of Ireland\'s sites and activities in day trips.
The house and grounds are located on our privately owned farm, with lush rolling fields, wild life sanctuary and prehistoric remains of a genuine 2,500 year old ring fort on Skahard hill, with panoramic views of the surrounding countryside, Limerick City and the River Shannon.
Holiday leisure is spent relaxing in our outdoor hot tub, playing croquet, reading in the conservatory or walking undisturbed on our lands.
All mod.cons are provided for, including flat screen TVs (lounge and bedrooms), high-speed internet + WiFi, piped music, library of Irish books, music and movies.

Location of objectThe villa is located half an hour South of Shannon International Airport. It is perfectly located to explore Dublin, the West and South West of Ireland in day trips via the M7 which is only 5 miles away. There are plenty of opportunities for walking, fishing, bird watching, golfing, exploring and sight seeing nearby.
County Limerick has a multitude of archaeological settlements and heritage sites for example Grange Stone Circle the largest stone circle in Ireland is only 8 miles South of the villa and well worth the visit. Glenstal Abbey is only 10 miles East, one can go and hear the Benedictine monks chant the evening vespers in Latin.

The farm lends itself to walking, observing wildlife and photography. Located on a back road with minimal traffic and an abundance of scenery.
