Description of object“C’era una volta” is a charming and atmospheric tastefully furnished vacation house. Our motto is “Make yourself at home”.It is thought for couples or families who wish to enjoy a quiet and comfortable stay surrounded by nature and history while discovering South-Eastern Sicily. It is located in the suggestive and picturesque “Cava di San Bartolomeo”, facing the rock-settlement of Chiafura on the way from Modica, Noto and Siracusa and 5-10 minutes drive from the seaside. All our guests have found it well located to visit the Sicilian late-baroque architecture of Scicli, Modica and Ragusa Ibla, part of UNESCO world heritage and have chosen “C’era una volta” to enjoy their holidays with children, or friends. discovering the interesting archaeological sites of Chiafura, Ispica or Kamarina, visiting the sets of the fiction “il Commissario Montalbano and of many other films, making suggestive naturalistic excursions through caves along wild paths and last but not least enjoying the local traditional cookery in our several cafes and restaurants . The house is on three levels. On the ground floor there is the dining room furnished with wooden table and chairs and a comfortable double sofa-bed, the fully-equipped kitchen corner and one bathroom. On the first floor there is a bedroom with double bed and a nice tiny balcony, a small room and the second bathroom. On the top the suggestive roof-terrace from which you can enjoy the view of the surrounding nature and architectures and spend your time in total relax. Around the house only narrow pedestrian safe alleys.
