Description of objectCasa Amarela:This small romantic country house, was built in classical architecture. The plot, with sea views, is used for agriculture. There is a garden around the building. You find also in the garden apple trees, and a Vineyards for Madeira wine (Verdelho). The parking place is located directly in front of the building. Garden furniture such as chairs, table are available. In the ground floor of the house you will find the living room, kitchen and a bathroom with shower. The living room is very cozy, furnished with sofa, armchairs and a fireplace. Wood for the fireplace is available. A particularly are the original preserved stone wall areas, that create a pleasant atmosphere. The kitchen with a dining area is decorated in the style of the house. In the first floor are the double bedroom and a classical bathroom (with cast iron bathtub). The bedroom is equipped with a traditional Madeiran double bed and original furniture. The house with its tranquility and natural surroundings are ideal for resting, hiking, and reading.Nearby, about 10 minutes walk (uphill) is a small restaurant with good local food. In the village of Ponta do Pargo, about 20 min walk, you find corner stores, restaurants and other small 'village cafes.' Ponta do Pargo is the most western point of Madeira where the new 18 hole golf course is going to be built between Calheta and Porto Moniz. The nearest supermarket is around 20 minutes drive to Calheta. There is also a very nice artificial sandy beach. Another interesting point is the natural Lava swimming pools in Porto Moniz. In both places there are small restaurants with excellent meals, where you can try the fishes and crustaceans of the North. Most typical are the grilled 'Lapas'. Furthermore, the viewpoint near the chapel of Nossa Senhora da Boa Morte in Cabo (15 minutes walk) is one of the least known in Madeira. Only a few Madeirense know this wonderfull place.
