Description of objectThe holiday house has a very calm and sunny location at the southern edge of the age-old mountain village Orasso (700m), about 15 km upward from Cannobio on the Lago Maggiore. From terrace and roofed balcony one has a free and wide view to the south over the Cannobina valley.
The house is also used by ourselves, it has a stylish and magic atmosphere and is very practically furnished. Special comfort and warmth is given by three leather chairs, a sleeping and sitting sofa, several warm carpets in both rooms, a tilt lounger on the terrace, and the wood fireplace besides the central heating.
Detailed information material about the environment is given within the house, as well as many books and CD's, a large TV with internet, and a stable WLAN connection.
Location of objectThe house is located 200m from the Piazza at the village entrance, on the way to the church with its 800 years old bell tower. Near the Piazza there is also a small shop and a bar with restaurant. Very well signed and maintained footpaths lead from the house in all directions. In particular, in 20 minutes by foot one can reach a sunny bath place romantically sited at the Orasso brook - as a small alternative to the Lago Maggiore. The next romantic bath place is in front of the St.-Anna gorge, 15 minutes by car in direction of Lago Maggiore.
Town: Italy, Lago Maggiore, Orasso Orasso is located on the slopes of the romantic deep-cut Cannobina valley, passed by a narrow road with little traffic, from which still smaller roads branch off to the mountain villages scattered on the valley slopes. Worthwhile trips lead also to the villages and footpaths within the adjacent Vigezzo valley, and to the romantic Centovalli valley in Tessin (Switzerland). Above all, however, the Lago Maggiore is a magnet, especially the next small town of Cannobio, with its well-maintained beach and shady meadows, and the beach promenade with many restaurants.
