Description of objectRiad Petit Palais de Marrakech is a small but gorgeous private rental home in the Medina of Marrakesh. It is located in a calm area only a five-minute walk away from the famous Jemaa El Fna square. It has two bedrooms which sleep four persons. When you rent Riad Petit Palais de Marrakech you always book the entire house. There will be no other guests, just you and your family and friends.Riad Petit Palais de Marrakech is perfect for a couple as it is a romantic place with a lot of charm. It is also ideal for a small family that wants to enjoy Marrakech in its own private little castle. When you contact us, please let us know a little bit about yourself so that we won't be feeling like we are going to welcome a total stranger, thank you! LOCATION: The riad is centrally located in an area called Derb Dabachi. The famous «Jemaa El Fna» Square is only a five minutes’ walk away. There you can easily get a taxi to discover Marrakesh and its surroundings. You will enjoy walking to the Jemaa el Fna square to buy fresh orange juice from the street stalls, and then walk back past an array of street vendors selling pastries and other local delights to enjoy it on your private roof terrace. RENT: The daily price is 100¤ for the entire house for up to 4 persons. Each additional persons above 4 will be charged an additional 20¤ per night. When you rent this riad you always book the entire house. There will be no other guests, just you and your family and friends. THE HOUSE: The riad was entirely renovated in 2012 with traditional Moroccan construction techniques. Examples of Moroccan handicraft, such as tadelakt (Moroccan wall painting technique with colors), sculpted plaster and wooden ceilings are found in every room. Lamps, furniture, mirrors, bedspreads, curtains, etc. found in the riad have all been crafted by Moroccan artisans, some of them living next door. ROOMS: The total surface of the house is about 100m2 and it can comfortably accommodate four persons in its two bedrooms. It is equipped with reversible air-conditioning. There is a common bathroom with a bathtub. The kitchen, a Moroccan chill out area, and one bedroom are located on the ground floor. The second bedroom and the bathroom are on the first floor. LIVING OUTDOOR: A patio with a fountain and a large palm tree occupies the ground floor. On the first floor, there is a chill out balcony with a view on the patio. On the top floor, a roof terrace of about 40m2 is the best place to enjoy the sunshine during the day and the deliciously breezy evenings of Marrakesh. STAFF AND SERVICES: Bed sheets, towels and usual amenities such as hairdryers are provided by us. There is a French/English-speaking caretaker. She is available any time during your stay to assist you and make sure you are enjoying your vacation. Meals (typical Moroccan dishes) can be ordered and enjoyed in a nearby Riad which we are associated to. The caretaker is an extremely reliable person, who has been taking good care of the house for a long time. INTERNET ACCESS: Free Internet access through a Wi-Fi connection is available. TRANSPORTATION: A private shuttle can be reserved to pick you up from the airport or the train station. The price (one way trip) is 15¤. The shuttle is also available for sightseeing trips you might want to make around Marrakesh. Taking our shuttle is a good way to get to know the driver and the vehicle in case you plan such a trip and want it to be arranged by us. NOT TO BE MISSED: walking is the best way to explore the medina (old city) of Marrakesh. Here are a few ideas of where your steps should take you: - Main souks, 3 min walk. - «Jemaa El Fnaa» square, 5 min. - «Place des Épice», 5 min. - «Place des Ferblantiers», 7 min. - «Palais Bahia» and «Palais Badii», 7 min. - «Musée de Marrakesh» , 10 min. - «Medersa Ben Youssef» (old Koranic university), 10 min. - «Saadian tombs» (Kasbah area), 10 min. - Restaurant/bar: «KosyBar» (beautiful roof terrace), 7 min. - Restaurant: «Tanjia» (belly dancing), 7 min. - Restaurants/bar: «Café Arabe» (beautiful roof terrace), 10 min. - Restaurants/bar: «Terrasse des Épices» (beautiful roof terrace), 10 min.
