Description of objectThe property is a recent barn conversion with original wood beams set in peaceful countryside within 5 minutes walk of the village of Manses. We have superb views across open countryside to the Pyrenees. The property is set in 95 acres of fields and woodland belonging to the owners. This ensures tranquillity as well as privacy. Guests are welcome to use our 12 metre by 6 metre pool. A large deck to the south allows outdoor dining with views to the Pyrenees. For those who enjoy walking, the ancient pilgrims route, Chemin du St Jacques de Compostelle, passes by the rear of Le Cazal. Days can be passed by the pool or enjoying nearby activities of walking, hiking, cycling, parachuting, rafting, canoeing, horse riding, golf and skiing to name but a few. Market day in the medieval town of Mirepoix (5 miles) should not be missed. Within easy reach of Carcassonne (50 mins), Toulouse (80 mins), Mediterranean beaches (Narbonne 90 mins) and ski slopes (Ax les Thermes 40 mins).
Location of objectFabulous rural farmhouse near Mirepoix in the beautiful Ariege. Finished and furnished to a high standard, this 4 bedroomed property has a heated pool and large deck. The farmhouse, deck and pool have fantastic views over rolling countryside to the Pyrenees. There are 4 large and airy bedrooms with ceiling fans to aid a comfortable night\\\'s sleep in hot summer months. Two bedrooms have king size beds. Bedroom 3 has 2 single beds and bedroom 4 a single and a trundle bed. The south facing rooms have magnificent, uninterrupted views across Lauragais countryside to the Pyrenees. There are 2 newly fitted bathrooms complete with shower, wc and wash basin. Bathroom 1 can be accessed from bedrooms 1 and/or 2 with the second bathroom accessible to all from the hallway. There is also a downstairs cloakroom.
A modern open kitchen is fully equipped with an electric double oven, gas hob, microwave, fridge freezer, washing machine and dishwasher.
The large open living room has comfortable sofas, satellite TV, DVD, good range of books and some games. The south facing french doors open onto a large private deck. This is the perfect setting for outdoor meals. Relax here with a glass of local wine and enjoy the tranquil countryside and superb views A barbecue is available to our guests. Relax by the adjacent 12 metre by 6 metre heated pool. The pool does not use salt or chlorine so is perfect for guests with sensitive skin. Bed linen is included. Bathroom and poolside towels will be supplied
Town: France, ARIEGE, MansesThe village of Manses is a typical rural French village with a beautiful church and a population of less than 200. Le Cazal sits proudly on the southern side of the village. The beautiful bastide town of Mirepoix is 5 miles from us. The square in Mirepoix is the focus of the town and is surrounded by the famous \\\'couverts\\\'- covered walkways. The vibrant Monday market should not be missed.
