Description of objectLes Mouries is an old stone farmhouse set in a well established garden with stunning panoramic views. It is an ideal base from which to explore Les Eyzies, Bergerac, Sarlat and the delights of the Dordogne. Canoeing on the rivers Garonne and Dordogne is a popular holiday pastime.
Les Mouries is well maintained and cared for. The rooms are high-ceilinged downstairs, airy and spacious. Wooden shutters keep the interior cool when the temperature rises. Interior furniture and fittings are unique and of good quality. Beams are evident in all rooms and wooden floors are throughout the house. Wifi is available for visitors\\\' use. The house makes a cosy hideaway for a romantic break or a luxurious self-catering holiday for larger groups. Beautifully restored by the owners, the house includes a new swimming pool with an adjoining terrace. The rest of the garden is laid to lawn with fantastic views, shade from established trees and the facilities to BBQ.

Location of objectLes Mouries is the perfect base for exploring mediaeval towns and the wine capital of Saint Emilion. The world famous prehistoric cave paintings are at Lascaux and the Dordogne valley is nearby with its thousand châteaux. We offer a tranquil setting ideal for relaxation. Sample the produce at the AOC vineyards of Bordeaux and Bergerac, or enjoy the many local markets, where you can buy local specialties such as truffles, cèpes, and foie gras. Within a short drive you can paddle a canoe down the river, take part in a vineyard tour and you could visit a different farmers\\\' market every day of the week. Brocantes abound and open air entertainment is plentiful in village courtyards and streets. Bordeaux airport is an hour and a half\\\'s drive away. Toulouse airport two and a half hour\\\'s drive. Bergerac operates low cost airlines and is a 20 minute drive away.

In addition to shops and a bustling weekly market, it has a swimming pool, tennis courts, cinema (showing English films twice a week), petrol station, and restaurants. Closer to home is the traditional French bar at Lalandusse which is a 10 minute walk away and is a delight to sit outside on a warm sunny evening.
