The existence of this settlement was testified in the XII century. It has an urban core of narrow streets with whitewashed houses and balconies full of flowers. The main places of interest of the town are the Parochial Church Nuestra Seńora del Carmen, the hermitage of the Virgen de la Salud and the fountain called Carenata. Ítrabo is ideal to practice trekking and to enjoy nature, as well as place to stay for the tourism of sun and beach. There are two defined routes that leave from the town, the route of Leon the African and the route of Al-Idrisi. Any of these two ways will take you to discover impressive views of the surroundings, where it predominates, in one side, the exuberant green of the cultivated areas and in the other the pines and eucalyptuses.
