This Irish traditional thatched cottage has been in the McElwee family for six generations. It has been carefully restored by Michael to retain all original features whilst modern comforts have been subtly integrated. Upon entry through the cottage's half door you come into the living area, the focal point being the traditional open hearth fire flagstone floor and open hearth fire, Irish dresser with old pottery pieces, spinning wheel and butter churn. Charming Victorian Parlour/sitting room and cosy bedrooms upstairs with crisp white bed linen. Bed linen, towels and fuel for open fire are supplied.
