Description of objectHouse on a farm in the middle of the Alentejo planes about 7km away from city centre, with swimming pool. Its\' views and the quietness are a bliss for those who choose to stay. It\'s a spectacular alternative to the mainstream offer in other hotels in Évora.The house was originally designed by myself and some friends that are professional architects. It was specifically designed to host friends and share good times together. It was my house for many years and I love that I get to share it with other people now. The estate (house, swimming pool and surrounding areas) will be completely for your own use, I\'ll provide help and local directions and tips if needed upon your arrival. You\'ll have the option to have a house maid. The house has 3 bedrooms (10 persons maximum), two bathrooms (1 ensuite), one open space living/dinning/media room (aprox. 80m2) and one kitchen (25m2). The house is fully equipped with luxury details. It has wireless internet. Swimming pool, outside area with barbecue, water cooling system and hammocks. It has private parking. Here you\'ll be able to enjoy the best of Alentejo. The quietness and the gorgeous views at your doorstep, a swimming pool to cool down after the daily activities, a city 5min away that is world heritage, artificial lakes where you can practice all sorts of water sports, easy access to the most charismatic villages in Alentejo (Redondo, Vila Viçosa, Monsaraz, etc) and the possibility of horse ridding right next to your house. Location of objectThe Alentejo is the largest region in Portugal. It owns vast open countryside landscape with undulating plains, rich fertile soil and an unspoilt west coast with fantastic natual beaches. With very few exceptions all the major towns are mainly reliant on agriculture, livestock and wood. Typical products from this area are grain, sunflower, carthame, fruit, vegetables, olives, wines, cork, eucalyptus, lamb, pigs, kid, granite, schist and marble.Topographically the countryside varies considerably, from the open rolling plains of the south of the Alentejo to the granite hills that border Spain in the north-east. To feed the water needs of this considerable area a number of public dams have been constructed. In the heart of the productive agriculture zone of Moura, there is the largest dam in Portugal also and one of the largest water surface areas in Europe. To the east of Portalegre is the Parque Natural da Serra de Săo Mamede, a fascinating Nature Park Area that includes charming medieval villages that have changed little from those days. In the south near Mértola is another Nature Park Area named Parque Natural do Vale Guadiana. This is mainly uninhabited and is a contrast to the previous one.
