Description of objectBetween Ermioni and PortoHeli, in a green quiet countryside, where short hills hugging the sea, a protected rural property of 36.000 square meters is located on the slope of a hill in front of a small picturesque bay with natural child friendly beach. It’s our Residential Complex which includes independent ground floor self - catering small houses of 3 main types:
1. Studios around 20 m2 each, consisting of 1 main room with a small kitchen and a double bed and 1 bathroom, suitable for 1 or 2 persons.
2. Small houses around 30 m2 each, consisting of 1 living/dining room with a small kitchen,1 bedroom and 1 bathroom, suitable for 2 or 3 persons, and
3. Small houses around 45 m2 each, consisting of 1 living/dining room with a small kitchen, 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom, suitable for 4 persons.
The seafront houses are distant about 50 m from the sea, while the back ones about 200 m. Each house has its own yard, open space parking and it is fully equipped with table, chairs, wardrobes, water heater, air conditioning/heating, refrigerator, small electric cooker with all the necessary cooking utensils and mosquito screens on the windows. The Residential Complex, surrounded by our own olive trees, is completely fenced around and therefore perfectly safe for young ones to play. There are also 2 playgrounds and a cafeteria snack bar with a swimming pool, where you can find free internet broadband connection. The Complex is just 10 min by car or alternatively 1h on foot from Ermioni and the local amenities (banks, post office, doctor, pharmacies, supermarkets, fishmongers, etc.).
If you hire a car (or bring your own) the house is a great base. You can make tours discovering the countless beauties hidden in other small villages of municipality, called Iliokastro, Thermisia and Kilada, or visit Hydra and Spetses, the two Saronic islands with great historical importance since the third millennium BC. Epidaurus, a small city in ancient Greece with the most famous healing center of the classical world and a remarkable ancient theater for its excellent acoustics, and Mycenae, a Bronze Age city that held sway in the Late Helladic Period (1600-1100 BC), where Agamemnon set off to destroy Troy and returned to enjoy his victory, can be with 1½-hour drive additional excellent daytrips.
If you are not the typical tourist who seeks to pass a few days in a luxury hotel or villa, but just a country lover who would like to have a cottage with charming simplicity as a second home in Greece in an exceptional rental rate, enjoying peaceful relaxing breaks somewhere secluded and 'off the beaten track', our Residential Complex is a great opportunity. We only offer long term rentals of 3 months or more.The above rental price 175 euros / week is for renting from July to end of September (3 months). For renting from May to end of October the rental rate is 100 euros / week Our own house is close by and there is always someone responsible who speaks English for maintaining your house. It claims to receive over 3000 hours of sunshine per year and is an ideal destination for those who want to relax for longer periods avoiding mass tourism and combining the traditional culture of Greece with peaceful life and holiday.
In the southeastern edge of Argolis, opposite the islands of Hydra and Spetses, situated the municipality of Ermionida, a coexistence of breathtaking landscapes and remarkable history at least since the times of Homer. Charming villages with warm and hospitable inhabitants, traditional taverns, art house cafes and small bars, jewelry stores, boutiques and galleries, idyllic beaches with breathtaking sunsets and small picturesque bays suitable for fishing, boundless tracks for keen walkers between olive groves and pomegranate trees, wherever your gaze wander idyllic pictures will overwhelm you. The seat of Ermionida is the town Kranidi, while the main coastal towns are PortoHeli (opposite Spetses) and Ermioni (opposite Hydra). The two coastal towns are spaced about 15 km. The best way to get here is to fly to Athens and then Ermionida is a 2½-hour drive overland from Athens, if you hire a car, or a 2-hour journey by the sea on a hydrofoil from the Athenian port of Piraeus.
