Description of object

Stunning newly built 3 bed 3 bath cottage which sleeps up to 10 comfortably and has magnificent sea views from every window and elegantly furnished with all modern conveniences.

The Utility room is located at the back of the house and has a door leading to a seperate toilet ane the kitchen. The kitchen/dining area features a fully fitted modern kitchen with integrated appliances leading to dining area with a table and chairs, modern fireplace fitted with a Franco Belge oil stove. A door off the dining area lead to the large sunroom which is tastefully furnished and has doors opening onto the patio area which is equipped with a barbeque and furniture for complete relaxation on those long summer evenings.
The Lounge has a stone built open fire,SatelliteT.V/ DVD/VCR player and comfortable seating, a double sofa bed is also available.

This spacious holiday cottage has three bedrooms,
Downstairs: Master bedroom has a Superking bed or 2 single beds, walkin wardrobe,en-suite bathroom with a Aqualux steam shower cabin,rainshower and body jets.

Bedroom No.2 has sea views, Kingsize bed, en-suite bathroom with sea views, electric shower.

Bedroom No.3 is upstairs with sea views,2 beds 1 Kingsize,1Superking(or 1 Kingsize and 2 Singles),en-suite bathroom with sea views,bath with overhead shower.

The house is situated on its own private grounds and is completely safe for children.

Location of object

Downings is a very popular tourist resort and fishing port with traditional pubs and live music all year round. This peninsula divides Mulroy Bay and Sheephaven Bay and has beautiful scenery and the famous Atlantic Drive is a 12.8km drive around the Peninsula and enjoys truly spectacular views and golden sandy beaches.

The rugged landscape of the Rosguil Peninsula also provides the basis for many activities for tourists to enjoy including miles of golden sandy beaches and Water sports such as Water Skiing, Wakeboarding, Windsurfing, Deep Sea Diving, Sea angling & Boat charters. There is also Horse riding, Pitch and Putt and Hill walking.

Within 4 km of the holiday home there are two championship golf links at Rosapenna - the Old Tom Morris Course and the Sandy Hills Course. The St Patrick's Course in Carrigart is 7 km away and is currently in the process of being redesigned by the legendary Jack Nicklaus. Downings has a newly built modern leisure centre called Magherabeg Leisure Centre which is open to the public and features swimming pool, sauna, steam room, Jacuzzi, and gym.

For gifts and souvenirs pay a visit to McNutt’s tweed shop and factory outlet. McNutts also have an excellent coffee shop beside the tweed factory. Also Joy’s of Carrigart have some lovely gifts.

Within a half hour drive of the holiday cottage there are numerous places to visit. You have Glenveagh National Park, Ards Forest Park, Glen Lough, Lough Salt, Lakeside centre at Dunlewy all of which has something for everyone. Nearby in Dunfanaghy there is the Workhouse famine museum. Churchill has the famous Glebe House & Gallery and Colmcille Heritage Centre, Letterkenny has all the amenities you would expect to find in a large town - Cinema, Museum, Theatre, Leisure centres, Art galleries and excellent Shopping centres. A day trip to Tory Island is highly recommended.

Places to visit include Glenveagh National Park and Castle, Donegal Castle, Grianan Aileach, Donegal County Museum, Tory Island, and the Donegal Gaeltacht (Irish speaking area). Donegal county has over 200 miles of coastline and is a great tourist destination.
