Description of objectA warm welcome at Vivenda "A nossa coroa" for a wonderful holiday in the green heart of Portugal at the foot of the Serra da Estrela.We rent 3 bungalows on the edge of the cosy village of Coja in a beautiful nature area with many other picturesque villages, where cities like Coimbra and Viseu are well reachable too. Our (self catering) bungalows are new, very well equipped, each with 2 bedrooms (max. 5 pers.), and equipped with all modern conveniences. Besides the swimming pool with an outdoor bar there is a recreational room with games and free access to WiFi. - Small scale; enjoy your peaceful rest - Beautiful scenery for hikers (GPS, geocaching available) - Centrally situated to discover the real Portugal - Well suited for larger groups (max. 15 pers.) - Ideally suited to spend the winter Are you looking for: nature, relaxation, culture, sports, sun, beaches, good food, folklore? You will find them here for a great holiday. Location of objectthe BUNGALOWSVivenda “A nossa coroa” is a new and stylish development of bungalows. The “xisto” wall (Slate) creates a typical Portuguese style. The use of many windows in the bungalows makes for a great view out onto the mountains. Each bungalow has a living area of approx 70 m2 as well as covered patio and its own garden. The bungalows are beautifully and stylishly decorated. Each bungalow has its own character: • Casa Portuguesa in Portuguese style • Casa Asia with an oriental character and • Casa Africa with an African theme. The bungalows are built around a cork oak. Situated In the large back garden there are two swimming pools, a large one and a separate pool for children. Here you may decide whether to bask in the sun or to relax in the shade of the cork. Next to the pool is the outside bar, here you may enjoy delicious tapas, Indonesian food, and other small dishes, a range of drinks and of course the famous Portuguese wines. There is a recreation room with a library, a piano, and a range of games, such as table-tennis. Here we keep brochures about the surrounding area, but we can also give you tips and information ourselves if required. Groundplan: 2 Bedrooms: There are two single boxsprings of 0,90 x 2,00 mtr, in each bedroom. In one of the rooms there is a possibility for a fifth bed. The bathroom has a toilet, a wash basin, a bath and a separate shower. The modern built-in kitchen is fully equipped with a dishwasher, fridge, a combi microwave, an electric stove, a coffee maker etc. The dining area has a large table with four chairs. Besides the sofa, arm chairs and a coffee table, the living area is furnished with a radio/CD player and satelite TV with international channels. Large sliding doors lead out to a sunny patio, with garden furniture and parasol. This is arranged so that you have total privacy but you can still enjoy the great views over the mountains. All the rooms have central heating. A wood burner is positioned between the kitchen and the living area. Wood is available for free. All bungalows are single storey. Recreation room Here you can play table tennis and find an assortment of games, a library of (English) books, and leaflets about activities in the local area. There is also a piano as well as other musical instruments For your laundry there is a washing machine available. Town: Portugal, Arganil, CojaOur “Vivenda” lies in a quiet area on a hill giving it beautiful views.The hamlets of Machorro and Medas are authentic farming villages. We are not totally situated out of the way of civalisation because Coja is just 2 km away. Bars, restaurants, banks, super markets and various small shops are situated here. The same is said about the village of Arganil, with a distance of 7 km away. There is a tourist information situated here. Thoughout the year a variety of celebrations takes place in the local villages. Tranquility surrounds you here. In the vicinity of the Vivenda 'A nossa coroa' there are countless possibilities to enjoy nature. By car, on foot or by mountain bike (provided you can handle the slopes). The roads are easily accessible. We have many (walking) routes available for you. You may swim in the river Alva near Coja, (also usable by children) In the waterfalls of Fraga da Pena you can enjoy a refreshing shower in nature. The university city of Coimbra is the nearest large town some 50 Km away. Beside the historic centre with a beautiful old university, chapel and library built in 1728, you will find modern shopping centres. In Coimbra the Fado is played in the cafes and in the churches.
