Description of objectWe are happy to welcome you to our uniquely situated domaine Le Petit Viala, amidst beautiful nature and only a stone’s throw from the romantic Canal du Midi.
Le Petit Viala offers a wide range of activities; there are various walking and biking possibilities, you can try wines from the surrounding wineries, taste the southern French kitchen in one of the restaurants in the nearby villages or enjoy the sun in and around our spacious heated pool.
Location of objectThe area is perfect for sporty people as there are many walking and (mountain)biking routes close to Le Petit Viala. Both the Mediterranean Sea and The Pyrenees are easily accesible.
The old city Carcassonne is the biggest fortress of Europe and consists of a reinforced core – the Cité – and the Chateau Comtal. The newer and lower part of Carcassonne has much to offer too; nice shopping streets and cozy squares with terraces. Carcassonne is a one-hour drive from Le Petit Viala.
You can sunbathe or relax on our domaine, but if you like you can also drive to one of the nearby Mediterranean beaches of Gruissan, Valras, Sète, Sérignan or Cap d’Agde.
One of the best wind- and kite surfing spots in Europe – Leucate – is around a 1-hour drive. Also the less famous but locally visited La Franqui is an amazing place to enjoy various wind and water sports.
Of course you can enjoy the delicious Mediterranean food and wine in one of the many restaurants in the surrounding villages.
