Description of objectLocated at the heart of the historic village of Brossac, The Tower House is situated within the walled grounds of our own nineteenth century house.With use of a shared pool, and freedom to enjoy our beautifully planted gardens, your relaxation is assured! We very much look forward to welcoming you to share in our village life! Why choose Brossac? Why indeed? Why choose a village, instead of staying in remote countryside? Well, for a start; imagine popping out for fresh croissants while the kettle is boiling, or even stepping out for that forgotten bottle of wine! And no need to worry about drinking a few glasses of wine with your restaurant meal! Join us and experience real life in France! The accommodation consists of an open plan lounge/kitchen/dining area, with stairs leading off (slightly steeper than a normal staircase) to one bedroom. The kitchen is equipped for two people, complete with a double hob, a combination microwave, and a fridge. There is one double bedded room. There is one bathroom/shower room. Guests are free to share our beautiful garden There is a 10 metre x 5 metre shared pool. Complying with French law, the swimming pool is fitted with an approved alarm, and there is additional poolside seating Outside is a complete set of garden furniture, plus two sunloungers, and a charcoal barbecue. Parking a few steps away in village. Location of objectAbout 40 minutes from Angouleme and Cognac. 60 minutes from Bordeaux.Town: France, South-west France, BrossacOn your doorstep, you will find; a baker, a butcher, a SPAR shop, a superb restaurant with a pizza takeaway, a bank, a chemist, a hairdresser... in short, everything you need for day-to-day living!A short stroll down a country road leads to another restaurant, with a terrace overlooking a beautiful lake. There is now also a clubhouse and spa with an indoor pool. Themed evenings are planned every week, usually consisting of a meal and music (often live). A few minutes drive will take to the nearest hypermarket at Chalais, which has an excellent open air market on Mondays. For a greater shopping experience, the cities of Angouleme (40 minutes), or Bordeaux (55 minutes), will not disappoint! Should you wish to have a day off from driving, both can be reached by train from the nearest railway station at Chalais. Both cities will excite you, with their interesting mixture of small specialist shops, and superb extensive shopping centres. Every local village seems to host its own festivities on different weekends during the summer!
