Description of objectOn a hillside, 10 km south of and ca. 400 m above the little town Dogliani there is the old farm which we name borgata farfalla. Starting in the year 2003 we have renovated the rundown buildings and are now renting three holiday houses and we also live in one of these old buildings all year round. The holiday house we describe here consists of 2 to 4 bedrooms and a very large kitchen/dining room which offers place for at least 12 persons.Two bedrooms and one bathroom are located on the upper floor behind a whine plant decorated arcade gallery. The two bedrooms contain a 1.8 m x 2.0 m large double bed and two 0.9 m x 2.0 m large single beds, respectively. A third bedroom is located next to the others and can be reached by an independent outside stair. It is separated from the arcade and has its own terrace. This bedroom consists of a living room part and a bathroom below. Above the bathroom there is a gallery with a 1.6 m x 2.0 m double bed. A forth bedroom with a bathroom, which is also suitable for physically handicapped guests, is located in the adjacent building. On the ground floor there is a very large room with consists of a kitchen- and a dining section. The kitchen is fully equipped with a large 5 flame gas stove, a wood burning stove, and a dish washer. In front of the kitchen there is a covered sitting place with a stone bench, chairs and a table. Next to it is a meadow which separates this holiday house from a smaller one ca. 30 m away. A pergola with a stone bench and a round table at the side of that meadow offers a beautiful outside space for eating. This holiday house can be rented with 2, 3, or 4 bedrooms. All rooms in the main building can be heated by a central heating system and have, in addition, a wood burning stove. The forth bedroom has an autonomous pellet heater. No large street is close by, thus it is very quiet and safe to play for the children. There is a spacy parking lot next to the garden. The closest village where you can find several exquisite restaurants, a grocery store, a butcher, a pharmacy and three bars is Murazzano, only 3.5 km south of here. Location of objectThe Piedmont is well known for its outstanding restaurants, its wines, its culture, and the spectacular landscape.The area is very suitable for hiking and we can provide information to the visitors about hiking trails in this region. In 1.5 hours you can reach the alpine valleys with mountains ranging up to 3800m and several passes that lead over to southern France. Biking is also very popular here, the streets are in good conditions and many of them follow the hilltops from where you can enjoy magnificent views. Good eating and drinking is an important part of life in the Piedmont. We can recommend many excellent restaurants in the villages around Lovera. A 40 minute drive leads you to the village Barolo, the centre of an extended wine region. This is a particularly beautiful landscape with many colourful villages from where you have extended views over the hills. Uncountable wine cellars offer their famous wines. In an hour drive you can reach Torino in the North, a city well known as the hometown of the FIAT factories but which has much more to offer. It is now considered one of the leading European centres for modern painting. Besides, there is the largest daily open market of Italy and many historical buildings to visit. After the foundation of the state Italy it was the capital for a short time period. The Liguria coast can be reached within one hour on the freeway. However, we recommend a trip to the Mediterranean on small streets across the mountains and we can inform you about the nicest villages and hiking trips along the ocean. Moreover, we recommend a visit to Genova, a very interesting and very Italian city. For the guests who are interested in architecture, art, and history we can recommend many places very worthwhile to visit. There are several beautiful little cities like Saluzzo, Alba, Mondovi, Savigliano, Cherasco, and Cuneo not far away from here. Town: Italy, Alta Langhe, BonvicinoLovera is a little village consisting of only a few houses and a church. Driving along the hilltop you reach after only 3 km the larger picturesque village Murazzano with its stores, bars and very good restaurants.We provide with no extra costs two bicycles and all the equipment to play volleyball, badminton, boule, and Ping-Pong.
