Description of objectAccommodationALL ROOMS ARE SITUATED ON THE GROUND FLOOR. Life-size solid wooden statues lend their own particular character to the living room. The living room and the sitting area form an L-shaped . The sitting area has a pair of two seater leatherlook sofas, a television set with a DVD/Video player and an internet connection. In 2015 the kitchen is due to be adapted for wheelchair-users. You can also use the veranda and the 600 square metre private garden (717 yd², 0.15 acre) with its wooden garden furniture and an automatic sunshade) *The garden contains a piece of art; a life-size bronze princess who looks on, in the company of her dog Ruben- a Belgian Briard *Reel animals feel at home in the garden: there is a five-star insect hotel. Several areas have been abandoned to nature. *In the garden there’s a barbecue you can use. 1 bedroom with two single beds 1 bedroom with a hospital bed The veranda has really comfortable spare double bed. Bathroom with toilet, washstand, bath and walk-in shower with a shower chair. Practical arrangements • Bed linen is provided • Gas and electricity are included. • The price includes cleaning up after your stay. • Free internet access (wifi) inside the house • Television, DVD-player, video-player and radio with CD-player in the sitting area . Location of objectDe Pepel is within walking or biking distance (3.8 km / 2.4 miles) of Bruges’ historical centre.Next to De Pepel you’ll find the children-farm ‘De 7 Torentjes’ (‘The seven Little Turrets’) where you can spend a pleasant afternoon with light refreshment. You can also go for a country walk in the ‘De Assebroekse Meersen’ 850 m (1/2 mile) away. A bit further on (4 km / 2.5 miles), you’ll find the Ryckevelde Castle and woods, and an old railway line that has been transformed into a cycling trail. In case of emergency or when in need of non-urgent medical care, you’ll find the “AZ St-Lucas” hospital close by (900 m / 0.6 miles). The hospital will also provide you with a midday meal (with a choice of 3 dishes ), as well as cake and coffee afterwards, or you can have a hot meal there in the evening, sparing you the effort of setting to work in the kitchen every day. We also recommend you take a day trip to the lovely medieval town of DAMME and then walk or cycle or go by boat (aboard the ‘Lamme Goedzak’) along the canal to Bruges, an opportunity you shouldn’t miss while you’re here. You can also spend a day at the beach at ZEEBRUGGE, 15 KM (9 miles) away.
