Description of objectWelcome to B&B da Mata.Transformed out of an old wine house and a village house the guesthouse owns a seductive charm. As it is surrounded by plain nature it is ideal for activities such as relaxing yoga, hiking, jogging and even trails. For the creative minds we offer drawing/art workshops whilst for the sports enthusiasts we organize joggings and trails. Further you can also opt for a delicious and balanced breakfast in our outside patio. As you arrive at B&B da Mata you find that the guesthouse, transformed out of an old wine house and an old village house is seductive both in style and character. It owns one main lounge and one main bathroom with shower and bathtub. The enchanting designs of the three bedrooms create a very cozy feel, they are all equipped with a double bed and a small lounge, each also owns its own bathroom with toilet and shower. The village house is opposite the wine house has his own living room,three bedrooms.Two with double bed one with a single bed;It has two bathrooms with shower.both houses has his own kitchen.Perfect for two families or a group of friends. In the backyard there is a “mini-guesthouse” with a sandpit for children were they can play freely. You can also find at the other side of the yard a swimming pool were you can freshen up when it gets too hot on the hill. Surrounded by plain nature the environment is ideal for hiking, jogging and even trails. If you are more into walking, wandering through the neighborhood you stumble upon the charming village of Carvalhal and discover its bewitching beauty. The surrounding is also exceptionally inspirational for creating; we therefore offer the possibility of drawing and art workshops. To add to the whole feel, you can choose to have a delicious and balanced breakfast in our outside patio. Do you wish to enjoy a day of bathing and bronzing? There is a range of beaches to choose from: starting from Peniche, Baleal, Lourinhã, Praia D'El Rey, up until Foz Do Arelho and São Martinho de Porto. Surfing and water sports activities are abundantly available, as Peniche is known as the city of surf. Lourinhã is also worth a visit, known as the “land of the dinosaurs”, as it has not only a beautiful beach but also is a very interesting historical site as fossil bones, fossil tracks and fossilized dinosaur eggs of what scientists believe to be the largest predator ever to roam the European grounds were found. And you can learn all about it at the Lourinhã museum. In a ten minutes drive we reach the castle walls of the cultural and historical city Obidos tells us tales about the past. It is a must visit as it is the most well preserved medieval town of Portugal. Caldas da Rainha with its famous thermal baths, ceramic fabric and the daily fresh fruitmarket are just a fifteen minutes drive. For bigger city trips the ideal capital Lisbon is just within an hour of reach. Other worth-to-see cities Nazaré, Alcobaça, Batalha, Fátima, Mafra, and Sintra are also just within an hour reach. For the wine lovers the Quinta dos Loridos is a famous and excellent place for wine tasting. Also do not lose the chance to visit its oriental garden Bacalhôa Buddha Eden, as it is the largest oriental garden of Europe.
