Description of objectLying just 7 km to the west of frontier town Vila Real de Santo António, the once sleepy fishing village of Altura is one of the last in a long line of popular beach resorts in the Eastern Algarve. Its fishing tradition lives on as wives in housecoats emerge from newly-built houses to receive the best of the fresh catch from local fishermen, who still ride bicycles through the streets to deliver their orders.Altura´s beachfront location and lack of modern overdevelopment has been attractive to many visitors, as this region has been found as a touristic area much later than other areas of Algarve. Studded with pines and lying open to the sea, its wide golden beach – one of the finest along the southern coast of Portugal – stretches as far as the eye can see. It has many typical restaurants, specialized in local gastronomy mostly based on sea food. The region is surrounded by vast white sandy beaches and warm waters, perfect for long walks or family vacations. The regions beaches are famous for its \"wildlife\" and preserved conditions. Very close attractions are Cacela Velha, Ria Formosa, Manta Rota and Praia Verde. The largest cities nearby are Monte Gordo, with its famous Casino and Tavira, the \"capital\" of Ria Formosa, famous for its restaurants. The house was constructed in 1990 and has two floors : the lower having the garage, living room and dining room, kitchen, WC and a patios/terraces; the upper with the 3 bedrooms (all with balcony) and another WC. The patio/terrace has an open fire, so it is perfect to all kinds of barbecue. The house is in a very quiet area and it is perfectly suited to accommodate a family summer vacation.
