Location of object

Donna Lavinia at Cinecittà, Holiday House in Rome, is located in the quiet and safe neighborhood Tuscolano:
- A few minutes away from the Cinecittà Studios (walking distance or three stops of metro A)
- One block from the historic and beautiful Acquedotti Park, part of the immense area of the Appia Antica Park
- 200 meters from the bustling Via Tuscolana, shopping street and \'Via del Cinema\'
- 200 meters from the convenient Metro stop \'Lucio Sesto\', which will allow you \'to reach easily and in a few minutes the old town as well as all the major attractions in Rome (including universities, hospitals, railway stations, airports, etc) .
The district is rich in ancient history, and recent history too for its proximity to the Ciampino military airport that has made during Fascism a strategic area of the Resistance.
The visitor curious to know the history, life and culture of Rome and Romans, can not absolutely lost in the area:
- Via Tuscolana: the shopping street and \'Street of Cinema\'. We suggest you follow this path, strictly on foot: left the number 18, go left and then right, take Via Quadraro. Paths will cross 150 meters Tuscolana. So cross the intersection and turn right on Via Tuscolana, so along the left sidewalk. This is the stretch of Tuscolana more full of shops, whose windows will accompany you until you reach the square of Cinecittà. At this point you can continue on the square going to visit the Mall Cinecittà2 or go back on the sidewalk right in Via Tuscolana.
- Shopping Center CinecittàDue: in Cinecittà Square, full of shops of all kinds.
- Aqueduct Park, Via Lemonia. To get there, left the number 18, turn left and then immediately left again and go so straight for about 200 meters until you reach the intersection with Via Lemonia. At that point, the park can not \'escape from your sight. It is a huge green lung in the city, part of the still more extended Appia Antica park, which houses the old Aqueduct Felice that dominates the view. Always full of people, in summer you will not fail to meet young people intent on enjoying a bit \'of the sun on the grass. Per gli amanti della bici, in Via Lemonia 31 c\'e\' \'Fuori di Ruota\' ove e\' possibile noleggiare biciclette per una ciclopasseggiata nel grande parco alla scoperta dei tanti suoi tesori nascosti.
- Local Market \'Tuscolano III\', in Viale Spartaco 45, is one of the largest and most affordable local markets of Rome. Here you can buy all your food shopping and more. There are also shops selling clothes, shoes, underwear and more.
- Cinecittà Studios, Via Tuscolana 1055, a 20-minute walk or conveniently with the Metro A, direction Anagnina, stop Cinecittà. The famous Cinecittà studios do not need an introduction. \'Cinecittà shows \'and\' open daily (except Tuesday) from 9:30 to 19 (the ticket office closes one hour before).
- The Basilica of St. John Bosco: the second dome, as diameter, between the churches of Rome after St. Peter\'s Basilica. It is located in the square. By the number 18, go right and then left onto Via Lucio Sesto. Go straight, surpassing Via Tuscolana, reaching Viale San Giovanni Bosco, then to the right until you reach the square and the church.
- TOWER or Quadraro Tower, Piazza dei Consoli. It was used in ancient times to control the first stretch of Via Tuscolana and had to be likely in visual contact with the Tower of Centocelle. Appears in the wonderful film GHOSTS IN ROME. The tower was renovated in 2011.
- Monte del Grano. And \'the name of the popular mausoleum of Alexander Severus, placed inside the XVII Park in April 1944. It is the third mausoleum, in order of magnitude, of Rome. In the \'500 was found inside a sarcophagus impressive penthouse, now preserved in the ground floor rooms of the Museums Capitolini.Si accessed inside through a long corridor about twenty meters that opens onto a circular room ten feet in diameter, a time divided into two floors.
- English oak (Quercus pedunculate), in Via dei Juvenci Quadraro. Probably the largest oak in Rome, with an estimated age of about 400 years.
- The murals of Ron English, via dei Pisoni. The street art.

Town: Italy, Lazio, rome

Rome (Roma), the eternal city, is literally eternal. It has endured for over 2,700 years, with an ambiance like no other. Embedded in centuries of history and culture, it is Italy\'s capital and largest city, offering far too much to see in one visit. In this city a phenomenal concentration of history, legend, and monuments coexists with an equally phenomenal concentration of people busily going about their everyday life. Here the ancient world is integrated with the modern. The Roman Forum and the Pantheon rub shoulders with Baroque palazzos, and Renaissance villas sit alongside the modernism of Mussolini\'s redesign of the capital, and you can drive along a busy Roman street and see the Coliseum rearing up in front of you. Rome (Roma) means history: Etruscan tombs, Republican meeting rooms, imperial temples, early Christian churches, medieval bell towers, Renaissance palaces, and baroque basilicas. As you stroll through this remarkable city you are walking in the footsteps of the Caesars, St. Peter, Charlemagne, the Popes, and Michelangelo! And amidst all this history, a modern city lives, breathes, and buzzes with life. Rome boasts terrific restaurants, pizzerias, trattorias, bars, and clubs. See the art and architecture of the ages, shop for the latest fashions, or sit in a sidewalk cafe\' and drink in the atmosphere. There are chic designer stores, traditional street markets and, blessedly unchanged areas such as Trastevere, where you can do as the natives do, visit the old shops and trattorias popular with the locals. What to see? Rome is a city that will keep you busy and entertained at all times. For those who are interested in art, music, history, and religion, there are few cities in the world that offer more. You could spend a year in Rome and not see everything, but there are some sights you don\'t want to miss. The Pantheon is the most complete remnant of ancient Rome, and the Coliseum is probably the most recognizable. The Forum was at the center of ancient Rome and therefore the hub of the Mediterranean world. Rome boasts over 900 churches; however, if you were to only visit one, spend a day at the Vatican. Not only is a visit to the Vatican a spiritual pilgrimage, its museums house the largest and most diverse collection of art and sculpture on the planet. St. Peter\'s Cathedral is one of the largest and most ornately decorated cathedrals found anywhere in the world. In and around this exquisitely decorated church, you will finds works of art from Renaissance Masters such as Michelangelo, Bernini, and Raphael. Visit the Piazza Navona, the most beautiful square in the capital, and the Capitoline Museums, home to some of Roma\'s best ancient art and sculpture. Renaissance buildings cluster around the historic center between the Via del Corso and the River Tiber. And, of course, you\'ll want to visit Trevi Fountain (where a coin and a wish will ensure your eventual return to the city) and the Spanish Steps. It\'s hard to say what yuo\'ll find most breathtaking about the eternal city? The opulence of the Vatican, the timelessness of the Forum, the top speed of a Fiat Cinquecento, or the millions of cats in the Coliseum. Whatever your interests are, Rome has something special for you.
