Description of objectEnjoy your stay in our small, recently rebuild studio apartment far from traffic noises and urban rush in a medieval village of stone houses at 750 m asl in the Nature Park 'Alta Valle Antrona' surrounded by splendid meadows and mountain forests.The apartment is equipped with a kitchenette, dining area and bathroom. In the room we have a double bed (140cm x 190cm) and a bunk bed (90cm x 190cm) available. The kitchenette is equipped with fridge, two electric hotplates, hood and all necessary kitchen utensils, pots, espresso machine etc.. In the bathroom there is a shower and a sink. Hot water and - on cold days - underfloor heating is provided. Since the apartment is quite small (16 m²), we can rent it only to up to two adults and two children. The terrace and the large, adjacent garden is shared with our family. You can use garden furniture, sun loungers, sun shade, barbecue grill in the fireplace, and much more... We live all year with our family in the house and can give you tips for hikes, day trips etc. On warm summer evenings we also like to sit outside with our guests on the patio or around the campfire ... Location of objectYou reach our house within a two minute walk from the parking lot. For luggage or heavy shopping there is a cable car.We recommend to travel by car, since public transport is quite poor, especially during school holidays, and you would otherwise miss many beautiful attractions in the area. Town: Italy, Lago Maggiore, Viganella (VB)Viganella has been quite unknown in the past, which only recently changed by the construction of the solar mirror that reflects the sunlight in the winter time onto the main square of Viganella and caused worldwide attention .There are many things to discover in any season of the year: BBQ evenings around the campfire or open-air cinema under the stars during the summer wont let you get bored. In autumn you can pick mushrooms, chestnuts or go hiking, in winter time you'll find several ski resorts within 30-60 minutes driving time to reach, spring is fascinating with flowering meadows, circling eagles and a journey through all seasons when you descend from the still snowy peaks into the Mediterranean and evergreen climate on Lake Maggiore. Despite the remoteness, there are many great day excursions possible: in addition to hiking, climbing, canyoning, swimming in a creek or river or in the mountain lakes in the vicinity, you can make day trips to the hot springs of Premia or Bognanco, Lake Maggiore or Lake Orta, the Valle Anzasca up to Monte Rosa - one of the highest peaks in the alps - and many more. Since the apartment is located in a wildlife nature park, dogs unfortunately can not be around without a leash.Upon request and for a small fee guests can use our washing machine. There is a 19' TV with satellite receiver (all 'Free-To-Air' stations from ASTRA and HOTBIRD) and you can also use our fast WLAN internet connection (10 Mbps down/1 Mbps up) for free. |
