Description of objectPalazzetto da Schio is a 16th century Venetian private house, located on a wide, sunny canal in one of the best neighborhoods in Venice.It is still owned and inhabited by the da Schio family, who have made it available to visitors. The apartments have all been recently restored. They are very comfortable to live in, equipped with modern appliances and furnished with family antiques. This ad refers to apartments # 3 and # 4. They are very similar and cost the same, but are on different floors. Apartment 3 - Top floor over the canal This apartment faces east so it gets the morning light. The sitting room and bedrooms look out over the canal. It has two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a living-room and kitchen. The rooms are large and can therefore accommodate a family of 5 or 6 persons quite comfortably. The atmosphere is “rustic Venice”, with old beams and Venetian floors, while the furniture is mostly XVIIIth century, with some later, and some earlier pieces. Apartment 4 - Mezzanine floor over the canal This apartment faces east and gets all the morning sun. The rooms look out over the canal. It has two bedrooms, two bathrooms, living-room and kitchen. It is a favorite with guests who do not like climbing stairs. The atmosphere is that of elegant XVIIIth century Venice: it has some of the best family furniture and paintings of that period.
