Description of object

The apartament has one double bedroom and one single bedroom. On the same floor there is a bathroom and the stairs that goes to the kitchen and the terrace on the top of the house. There is an outdoor space perfect for sunbathing and barbecue with a view to Corcovado (Christ the Redeemer).

Location of object

TRANSPORT OPTIONS TO OTHER AREAS: As the house is located on the main road you will find many options for buses, including “Metro bus” that goes to any other south/centre zone locations, just five min walk. There is also a taxi stop just 3 min from the house.

To go to Copacabana, Ipanema and Leblon beaches it will take less than 15 minutes by bus. I would strongly recommend to go to these places by doing a nice walk appreciating the Lagoon view, which takes between 30 to 50 minutes.

To go to Urca where the famous cable car is (in Portuguese - “Bondinho”) located, Corcovado Mountain, you will spend less than 15 minutes by bus, which takes an additional 5 minutes to Lapa, City Centre and Santa Teresa where the mains 'carioca’s' (resident of Rio) known places where you can hear typical Brazilian music and enjoy Rio de Janeiro’s nightlife.

STUDENTS: As Humaita is close to PUC, Santa Ursula and UFRJ (15 min), there are a lot of buses route options just 5 min walk from the house to the bus stops.

Humaitá is a residential district in the South Zone of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. It is situated between the foot of Corcovado Mountain and the Rodrigo de Freitas Lagoon. Neighbouring districts are Botafogo, Lagoa and Jardim Botânico.

One of the best things in Humaita is the 24 hour service of many options, such as bars, restaurants, pharmacies. There are supermarkets and all kinds of shops only 5 minutes from the house.

ENTERTAINMENT: Humaita is a lively place and well located between the foot of Corcovado Mountain and a five min walk to Rodrigo de Freitas Lagoon, Botafogo and Jardim Botanico --- (the city's world-famous Botanical Garden)
It is not considered a tourist area as are Copacabana & Ipanema, so the area is not overcrowded and considered safe for tourists.

Annually between the months of February and March there are some of the most popular Rio de Janeiro's funny carnaval blocs parades through the streets of Humaita.
