If we go across the road from Sibenik Bay, at the end of our journey we arrive in a short Raslina. This small but beautiful place, situated on the west bank of the lake Prokljan. Although the name of the lake, it is connected with the sea, and this unique combination makes it even more delicious sea fish.
The settlement was mentioned for the first time in 1298 during the foundation of the ¦ibenik diocese. In the Second World War it was burned down completely. Raslina is today a tourist destination known for fish specialities and good wines. The church of St. Michael was erected in 1457, while the castle of Raslina, with strong solid walls and defensive towers, was built at the beginning of the 16th century for the protection against the Turks. No remnants of this fort exist.
Population of Raslina mainly engaged in agriculture and fishing, and more recently tourism. Guests are offered accommodation in private rooms, apartments and campsites, and several inns offer local specialties and most notably Prokljanska fish and wine. In addition, the kindness of local people, beaches and proximity to Krka National Park, this peaceful tourist resort make even more attractive.
