Location of objectFamagusta has become a popular location as the beaches and coves are relatively untouched. The area has many traditional red soil villages, the central town of Paralimni is close by and the primary resorts of Protaras and Agia Napa are further along the coastline. The golden sandy beaches stretch over ten miles with shallow waters and there is no shortage of water sports. The weather in Famagusta over the summer months boasts pure sunshine and virtually cloudless skies. Cyprus itself is full of historic and cultural sites including the two beautiful churches in Paralimni Town which attract visitors from all over the world. It also offers a mixture of traditional and modern shopping along with a variety of bars, traditional coffee houses, and restaurants to suit all tastes. Cape Greko is the local National Park, this is area of natural beauty and is well worth a visit as it is also famous for its cliff diving. Protaras has become another popular family resort. Famous for the sandy Fig Tree Bay Beach which stretches for approx 5km of the Famagusta shoreline. With velvet sand and sparkling turquoise waters the beach begins from the beautiful Konnos Bay meandering along to the small coved sandy bays of Kapparis. The main tourist area in Protaras, (known as the strip) has an abundance of activities and entertainment suitable for both young and old ranging from bungee trampolines and mini golf for the children to the magical dancing water show for all the family. There is a variety of shops and boutiques to browse in and also local supermarkets including Lidl which are open late for every day needs. You can purchase items such as medicines, food, clothes & souvenirs. There are many Restaurants offering local and international cuisine such as Mexican, French, Thai, Chinese, Japanese, Italian, English and traditional Greek dishes etc. You will find the restaurants family friendly whether you simply wish a snack from the bar or a more sophisticated style of dining.
