Description of objectSpacious 4 bedroomed holiday flat in the sunny southern Alps of Haute Provence. The house is nestled in the hillside at the end of 400m track, surrounded by fields, with the forest just behind. Shops and activities very close by, but not visible. Fantastic open view over mountains and lake.
Location of objectThe Maison d\\\\\\\'Amont lies in the Alpes de Haute Provence, between Gap, Digne and Barcelonnette. The family ski resort of St Jean Monclar is about 800 metres away (1/2 mile) and the Lake of Serre-Ponçon is 10 minutes by car. All open air and white water sports are available nearby: skiing, paragliding, walks (from the chalet), mountain biking, swimming pool, rafting, sailing, pedalos, adventure park etc. It is possible to visit nearby forts, and the district has a rich cultural heritage. In the ski resort there are cinema performances and various events during the season.
The house, at the end of a 400 m (1/4 mile) track is surrounded by fields and offers plenty of playing space for your children. There is a panoramic view over the lake and the surrounding mountains. There are shops in the ski resort and at Seyne, Barcelonnette and Gap.
Town: France, Southern Alps, Montclar / St Vincent les FortsThe nearest village is the family ski resort of St Jean Montclar, just 1/2 a mile away, where you will find several shops and restaurants to get the basics. The resort offers activities for children and adults in season, crèche facilities, a swimming pool in summer and ice skating rink in winter. 4 km away is the village of St Vincent les Forts, a well known paragliding site with a fabulous view of the lake. 11 km away is Seyne where there are 2 supermarkets, and a market twice a week. 30 km away is the town of Barcelonnette in the Ubaye valley, a picturesque mountain town with many shops.
