Description of objectFully equipped 1 bedroom apartment in the countryside of San Fransisco, Huercal-Overa. Large terrace, carport, washing machine etc. at your disposal. Sofa can be converted into an extra double bed. As part of a cortijo with about 23.000m2 of land on a magnificent location, this is the ideal spot for a vacation in complete tranquility. At the same time only 10 minutes from all amenities (Huercal-Overa) and 5 to the closest village, San Fransisco. Everything you need will be much cheaper than in the touristic areas. Very easy accessible with the main road between Pulpi and Huercal-Overa at less than a 1km. This also makes Pulpi\'s coastal village San Juan de los Terreros, famous for its quality beaches, easy reachable in less than 30 minutes. Other known places like Aguilas, Vera, Vera playa, Villaricos and the white village Mojacar are all reachable in less than 45 minutes. The ideal combination of a peaceful rural holiday location in authentic Spain and the possibility to go and discover the rest of our fantastic province of Almeria. A daytrip to Cabo de Gata national park or the Fort Bravo cinema studios in the desert of Tabernas for example... Almeria isn’t only one of the most beautiful parts of Spain, we also have the best climate with less rain than any other place in Spain and more sun than anywhere else in Europe. This makes great vacations possible all year round.Location of objectWe picked this region because it is not really known by the big public. We would like travelers to see and experience the real spain, away from mass tourism. The \"Costa de Almeria\" is still touristic in summer, however mostly consisting of spanish tourism, and if you go away from the coast a bit like where we\'re at it is completely tranquil and authentic spanish. Yet, Vera and Cuevas del Almanzora are only 30 mins away. Personally we like the fact that we have complete peace at our location, but still have the possibility to be on a beach in no time and on top of that having all amenities in close proximity. The region is home to one of the best climates of Spain with about the least rainfall, the most sun and temperatures warm enough all year round. This makes it ideal for a vacation here every time of year.The guesthouse itself is located in a very quit area, yet only a few minutes from the road between Huercal-Overa and Pulpi. Set in about 23.000m2 of it\'s own land with the first hundreds of meters in each direction...nothing. Beautiful views all around, at night nice stary sky, no noice,... Right next to us there is a large orange grove. As we are located in a valley (not in a rambla because of the risk of floods like the ones of last year) it is really easy to reach without to many bends or hills. And this way we have hills all around which contributes to the nice views. In summer it is also nice to have some wind here. 5 mins from here there is a small town with a small convenient store, some bars, a restaurant, a gas station and a bakery. With its eastern location and easy access to both the A7 and AP7 motorway it might be the part of Andalucía which is the easiest to get to when coming by car from northern direction. Also who prefers to fly can take advantage of the easy access, doesn\'t matter if they land at Almeria or Alicante Airport: the A7 motorway will take them to here with ease. For the airport of Murcia San Javier the AP-7 does the same. Almeria is known for it\'s dry landscape. We often call the surroundings \"the dessert\", whilst technicaly it is semi-dessert. Sometimes the province is referred to as the spanish Wild West, as It looks a bit like the californian landscape you see in a lot of movies. In fact, close to Tabernas on about an hour drive from our location, where they have a real desert, they thought the landscape was so similar to California that they started to make western movies there. They still do today and you can visit several parks with complete western and mexican villages. There is also a possibility to do some hiking through the desert. Town: Spain, Huercal-Overa, Huercal-OveraThe nearest small village is San Fransisco, only a few mins away. A tiny authenticaly andalucian but very clean and wellmaintained white hamlet. It´s home to a gas station, small convenient store, pharmacy, a restaurant and a few bars.All amenities you´d need however are only 10 mins away, in Huercal-Overa. It more or less serves as the service hub for all the north of the province.It´s also home to the area´s hospital. Huercal-Overa, capital of the comarca del Levante Almeriense, is a XVI century town along the Mediterranean highway A-/(route del sol). It has a lot of history as prehistoric men, Phoeniciens, Carthaginians, romans and especially Arabs passed or habited this region leaving their trail. The recently renovated XIV century tower of Huercal-Overa, known as ´el castillo´ is a very good example. The most important celebrations of the town are its well-known Feria the third week of October and its Semana Santa (Eastern). The town is not known by the big public, but is however home to a fairly big British community that came here to enjoy the unique region and climate. Usually they don´t even think about leaving here.
