Description of objectCarmen´s House is more than four hundred years old, as it is listed in registers before 1647. Its restoration was complete because only the outside building walls were preserved. Its restoration as a house typical of a seaside town was observed, thus, it has wood ceiling and floor. At the entrance, a stone arch reveals us it’s past. On the first floor you will enjoy the fireplace in the living room, kitchen and shower with light and rain effect. On the second floor, there is fireplace and an ancient bath with legs in the own bedroom. There is a whirlpool shower in the bathroom. From this floor you gain access to a small courtyard with furniture facing south.
Location of objectWhere is it? Carmen´s House is located in the old city in Corubión, this town council was declared touristic interest and historical –artistic monument.
Town: Spain, Costa da Morte, CorcubiónThe house is located in Corcubión which is at the Death Coast. It is not exactly known where the name of the Death Coast comes, it may be due to any of the following reasons; the first and the one which seems to be more realistic is related to the fact that it takes its name of the continuous shipwrecks caused by the storms which produce the death of sailors and fishermen. The other one, more poetic, is related to this end of the world as the place where the sun dies.
This is an area which has not been completely discovered by the tourists although some of us are lucky because we have enjoyed it for a long time. Here you will find beaches, woods, paths, villages or routes among many other touristic places.
